But before it gets to that point where you get to see anyone, I believe that you two should've gotten to know each other (like dated a little while) first ...

But if you really like her and she's insisting on it, please meet the pastor and tell the pastor that "I've noticed this girl from afar and I like her, I want to get to know her better and if God wills it, I'll tie the knot with her" ...
