This is what we call distortion of information for one's selfish interests. I was present there as I passed through that route yesterday being independence day. The road was actually blocked by the Nigerian army whose military checkpoint was positioned about 2km before a community called ihube in Lokpanta. The military explained that there is an operation being carried out by its members in ihube and it's not safe for commuters to proceed till the operation is over. However, the other lane was never blocked. |
