Agenda Forgiveness back in full force grin

He makes this place interesting sha with his arguments.

TheSuperNerd:

Yet you literally come in here and still care about what is being said. You read it and it hit you so hard that you composed a manufactured agenda speech in defence of only one player - Awoniyi. 😂

Controversial Forgiveness I've almost missed you grin

Now based on eye test Boniface is talent wise and ability ahead of Awoniyi. Victor's technical ability on the same ball is clear for all to see. If
you're talking longevity and experience yes you can give it to Taiwo but it's only of recent over the past 2-3 years that Awoniyi has found his scoring boots.

Now as per playing at highest level yes EPL is bigger but the difference is not like day and night. Boniface plays for Leverkusen a top level German side involved in European competition. Nottingham Forest with due respect to them are a modest side. I can't say because you're doing well at Everton you are now better than someone top striking for Dortmund using EPL rating as excuse.

The only plausible argument you have is Boniface needs to be assessed over a longer period of time to see if he's the real deal but my brother based on what I've used my korokoro eye to see Victor has outstanding talent way ahead of Taiwo.

You are clearly looking for forgiveness' argumentative trouble. 😂😂😂

I am really happy with the options we have in our midfield and attack sha
Just yesterday I watched the 2013 afcon match highlights. To be honest Brothers, Enyeama really saved us in that afcon. The saves most especially against Ivory coast was legendary. We really need do something about this goal keeper issue if we must contend for AFCON. Our goalie saviour is in the NPFL not really in Europe or america. Let's try the bendel insurance goal keeper or the guy at Remo stars. This guys have the confidence and boldness to mount goal post

Comparing the 2013 afcon winning team to current team, current team seems to be more star studded up front. If it is now a player like Ideye will not make that team nor talk of starting.

TheSuperNerd:
The friendlies showed Boniface can also lead the attack. We saw that moments after Osimhen was withdrawn due to injury.

Against Mozambique, we saw that an absent Awoniyi is a better leadsman than Moffi as the latter seems somewhat laid back as if needing a push to really drive on as the team's arrowhead.

A fit and in-form Awo is definitely Afcon bound. But he has to be available for the November games having missed one window already. We have no time left. As things stand, Boniface is already on the plane to CIV while Awo is still 50-50 based on his recovery.

His case is not like Osimhen. Osimhen may be injured now but we all know even a 70-75% fit Osimhen available is sure for the Afcon. Same can't be said about our other strikers.

Boniface already proved to us he can lead attack based on his form this season but really surprised seeing him on the bench against Mozambique but instead it was Moffi….yes if Awo injury persists he will lose out cuz no coach will take injured player to tournament

Always sniffing out Mago Mago and Ojoro.

We need him back in the "agenda game" ahead of Afcon2023. I will be there.... lol

No need for the surprise. It was pretty simple. JPes wanted to give Moffi playing time and another chance to show what he brings since Boniface already shone in the first friendly vs Saudi.

Awo will be back. A fit Awo is making the Afcon but I will be more assured if he makes the November list.

Sir one thing I have noticed about this coaches is that they reward players goal impacts alot. A player that once score for them..will likely get a nod over others that have not scored goals yet.
Had it Taiwo was in that team he would have start instead. For Boniface his club form and Bayern leverkusen run this season will always fetch him an invitee.

Let's say for now how well the injured players heal up and return from injury will tell how the list will look like

Boniface 100%. He and Osimhen though similar in strength and body size offer to contrasting threats to the opposition. Osimhen is a force of nature ready to deploy his own immense power and pace to unnerve his opponent. Boniface is more wit, technical skills and guile who can operate in tighter spaces.

The only issue I had with Boniface which he looks to be answering was if his finishing was consistent and elite level based on his modest numbers in the Belgian league last season.

Taiwo and Osimhen are too similar to make an excellent communication pairing.

KC is a strange one for me. He struggles in the top 9 role by himself and his playing style doesn't quite fit perfectly in the supporting forward role. Playing in the hole just behind the front 2 is probably his best position.

Umar most like Boniface but with less skill and strength.

Moffi has similar profiles to Amokachi, Yakubu, Emenike and Ighalo. Strong muscular guys with a bit of skill to them.

TheSuperNerd:
Okay, Forgiveness and the rest of the house... kindly answer this honestly and to the best of y'all ball knowledge.

Based on player profiles and personnel synergy, who among these CF options look the best to pair Osimhen up top? Take into account the various tactical variations and their contributions to the 2nd phase plays.

- Kelechi Iheanacho
- Taiwo Awoniyi
- Victor Boniface
- Sadiq Umar
- Terem Moffi

Note: I don't even expect the same answers coz ball knowledge levels differ and perspectives on why some pick A or B would sound legit.

Funny thing is Jpes could go with 4 strikers (aside Nacho) sef if the squad list maximum is gonna be 28. How would Awo miss out when fit? How? Na wa.

Egbon if we're talking ability on the ball then yes he surpasses Osimhen. The area where Boniface has to catch up is goal scoring.

Osimhen is a born goal of scorer but the things I've seen Boniface do this season so far yen will make a believer out of anybody.

This players are capable of starting for any AFCON team in africa so we are good to go.... just want the inclusion of either Moffi or Akor Adams too been that they're coming from the french league. A league with lot of africa players and playing style akin to africa teams.

I like Awo a whole lot. He has similar playing style with Osimhen but Boniface is more unique because he is a creator, dribbler and a decent finisher

Awo just like Osimhen are the type of strikers you can deploy upfront as a single front man if a coach decides to play a more defensive tactics. Awo and osimhen are good in the air as well as physical enough to muscle and out pace any CB in world football currently. Both are just like ex CIV and Chelsea hitman Didier Drogba and current city goal poacher Haaland

Bony on his part will suit in an attacking formation. He is skillful and good in tight corners, he drops deep to create and switch to the flanks when required. To me this makes him more complete than all the strikers we can boast of currently. He is the type of striker who can unlock the defense of a highly disciplined and defensive side with his skills and creativity

Bony is similar to the likes of Kane,Benzema and to an extend Zlatan etc.
