Well spoken. I sincerely respect your opinion even though I am not in agreement on some of the points you raised in your write up.
Spandau:

So you want IPOB and UGM to have unfettered access to the borders so they can bring in whatever munitions they can grab?

See, everybody is being careful and extremely hesitant to put a SE person in very sensitive positions because of antecedents. Emefiele quickly comes to mind. You can't really blame Tinubu. The dilemma of Ibos in Nigeria is the question of trust. Frankly speaking, nobody trusts the SE because the genesis of all the woes in this country started from them.

The attempts to introduce secession clause, which would have enabled any of the then 3 regions that made up Nigeria to quietly leave was thwarted by an Ibo man and celebrated by all of them.

The Midwest was carved out from the Western region by Zikist orchestrations so that Awolowo's political powers could be whittled down. As usual, the Eastern region cheered on this.

The regional system of governance was abolished by a representative of the East in accordance with Zikist ideology. There was absolutely no justification for doing that. Just a show of power. Nigeria is trapped in that cesspool till date.

The first attempt at secession originated from the East.

When the Civil War was going on, the Biafrans, egged on by their frontier successes against Northern soldiers and capture of parts of the SS region today, instead of maintaining their territorial integrity and holding fast to their positions, thus stamping their desire to leave, suddenly started advancing towards the core West, and Lagos through the Benin-Ore axis. Why? Was the Western region now supposed to be annexed? Was that not an opportunistic attempt to again start all over their quest for dominance in Nigeria and Africa as a whole? Who is going to trust people like that?

Which people behave so badly and try to scatter everything anytime their preferred candidate of whatever origin looses an election? If the SE had been quiet and well behaved throughout Buhari's torturous 8yrs without Nnamdi Kanu and his theatrics, it would have been far easier to really put some trust in that region. Look at what they are doing and saying against the SW and against the president today. Despite the fact that Yorubas voted massively for Obi, see how they were treated and insulted because Tinubu won. They quickly forgot whatever bridge and alliances they were able to muster and blew up everything. Who will trust people like that?

Nobody wants to put a square peg in a round hole anymore.

Buhari appointed his Northerners from the far end of North-West to the Far end of North-East.

Tinubu clamored for Southern Presidency, the whole Governors of Southern origin had a meeting at Asaba which birthed the Asaba Declaration where we all agreed that Power must return to South.

The South was somewhat in unity on it.

Now Tinubu has become the president, but unfortunately the president for the South-West.

He is appointing mostly Yorubas, Southern Presidency indeed.

He should remember that Buhari was nepotic, but he opened his arm across the whole North.

But Tinubu doesn't want to open his arm across the whole South.

Quite unfortunate because this should be the turn of the South not just South-West.

Oya let's make another ASABA DECLARATION next week to dethrone The Chicago Pablo Escobar. tongue

Like play play... You stole your Dad's phone and started typing rubbish here? This is satanic! How can you say Buhari opened his arm across the whole North?

Where were you when Emifielele was made CBN governor? How about Amechi that established Marine and transportation University at Kastina in order to be supported? How many southerners were in the security architecture during Buhari?

Please cut shot your lips and see if your will have more sense. Bunkum

This is as bad as anything for Yoruba tribe unless Tinubu will divide Nigeria after his tenure. The worst thing that can happen to Yorubas is SS and SE ganging up againt them. Tinubu is already showing how much he want South West support and in truth no one really supports him like some of you claims.

But they have been ganging up sinceeee. grin

The only difference is that SS do it for politics only while SE reason is a combination of bitterness, jealousy and politics.

So what happened afterwards I asked? Did the North appreciate that? They want to hold on to power regardless of what you do to make things right. They hide under the idea that Southern people kill them all the time and use that as an excuse to hold on to power, like they have not killed thousands of innocent people from the South. No matter what you do, they still believe that you're less human, an infidel and that power is their birthright. So when you get power, use it to deal with them and whittle off their powers. We have the right man dealing with them and doing what Jonathan could not do.

At the bolded was already done in the last election and still being done with all the insults and bullying on social media. The votes from the SE and SS for the candidate from the SW (Tinubu) already showed that. It was the North that rescued him. Save for the likes of Wike who stuck his neck out for Tinubu, which other people worked for him there. Isn't that a gang-up? Amaechi in his party even openly worked against him. So I don't understand you please.

So at the bolded, one of the problems Yoruba had with Jonathan was that he appointed Igbos only. I'm Southern Nigerian, what Yorubas would call Igbo (even though where I come from was part of western Nigeria before the fracas of 66). And in 98, fresh out of secondary school, I voted Olu Falae as I saw OBJ as an extension of the military. Understand how the north play their game. They appoint the entire north, even though Northern presidents are from North West. They appoint folks from all three North geopolitical zones. I don't have a problem with Jaga appointing southerners to very key positions. But when all the southern appointments are kept to the south West, it only goes to further entrench the Northern belief that they will game the south and always win. And they would be right. Look at Yar'adua, he kept it pragmatic and ensured spread. Heck, one of his "henchmen" was Ibori. APC are the ones that brought this "my region only" mentality. Jaga is taking it to a whole new dimension and making it "my geopolitical zone only". Jaga is in power and it's almost a Yoruba government. South-South and Southeast are getting crumbs. Buhari appointed middle belt and North East into very powerful positions. Hate OBJ as much as we want, he has been the only Pan-Nigerian president.

how unintelligent you sound
Tinubu has been fairer to the SS than Good luck Jonathan was to the SW
