I also lost my original SSCE result from NECO when we were about doing verification in school then .. that was about 6years ago.
All i did was to reprint the scores online through NECO website, do police extract and also went to the school where i wrote the NECO and asked them for my NECO result transcript stamped with the school stamp then I went to NECO office so they could stamp it for me.


As for the statement of result, go do a police extract asap and if you can get your transcript from your school, do that immediately and then process your orginal certificate from your school. Once you have the certificate from your school, i don't think the Statement of result is too important again.

Well interestingly, i have done my masters, worked in a 3 a big Nigerian Firm, worked in another 2 Multinationals and currently working in Europe.

All i mean is that... losing documents no mean say your life don end oo.
There is always a way out but just know that NO CERTIFICATE IS ISSUED TWICE as far as i know.

To those that are yet to misplace or lose their Original Certificate, here is my 50 cents.

1. Scan all ur original cert and save it in a storage device of your choice.e.g CD, flash drive, memory card. external hard disc or your phone.

Note: Any of the above could be stolen, corrupted or crash so do no 2 below.

2. Save the scanned documents in a folder or your computer and attach it to your email , wife. son or close relative's email

Go to their office.and pay for reissuance

(2) go to waec office and apply for a new cert,

(3) repeat step 2 at your uni.

Estimated time before recovery of lost certs: 8months.

For SSCE, you can't get a reprint of the certificate but you can get a look alike of the certificate called attestation of result at an administrative fee of 20k. Follow these necessary steps

1. Go to the nearest police station and get a police report on lost certificate.

2. Go to the nearest high court and get a sworn affidavit for collection of attestation of result.

3. Provide a photocopy of the lost certificate.

4. Provide 2 recent passport sized photograph

5. Provide your birth certificate or any relevant document showing your date of birth e.g drivers license or international passport.

6. Then with 1-5 documents, go to the state WAEC office of your school exam town and apply for attestation of result.

N.B Administrative fee is N20,000. Good luck

No, its not nullified. That's why this alternative is called attestation of result not the exact certificate but a look alike. There are distinguishing features btw the two

Leave statement of results for now, it will distract u, instead collect your certificate. If I can get the list all you lost from there, I will advise you on it very well, because I have lost all my certificate through fire incidence before and I got them back. But it will cost u money. Around 05:00hrs early morning on the 18th of this month on my way to work, two armed guys robbed me of a black lenovo bag which contains the following items:
1. a black Lenovo laptop
2. An Obafemi Awolowo University File which has my Msc, Bsc, Nysc, O'levels, OND and other important documents in it (all Original because I was taking it for sighting as regard a professional exam I am about taking).
3. a samsung galaxy 7 edge phone with a cracked screen, 3 flash drives.
4. 4 ATM cards (UBA,GTB,FCMB and DIAMOND BANK)
5. A filled ARCHITECT'S REGISTRATION COUNCIL OF NIGERIA form.

All aforementioned documents has the name AREWA FEMI TEMIDIRE on it. Please if any of you should come in contact with my School documents, don't hesitate to call this numbers: 08028426142, 08060177508.
