Pastor they are on social media

You might not believe it but some on social media are actually more hungry than those who are not. Come to nairaland and see the number of people begging. A lot sacrifice a lot even the food itself just to get the data so they can socialize and forget their woes or the can rant on the government and on people and feel better.
There is massive youth unemployment in this country so do you think they are not on social media while social media is a mostly a youth thing?
Even those that are in the villages that you are talking about are mostly farmers and produce what they eat,so fuel 650,$ is 1,150, inflation is climbing, the economy is collapsing all these ones are not their problem

“Go to the rural areas, farms, markets, etc, to see those who are really suffering. The poor Nigerians are not on social media.

“You come online every day, post your pictures and videos, and still claim that you are suffering. My brother, you are not sincere to yourself.

“Today, our youths have misplaced priorities because they don’t think straight. They would rather stay online from morning till night instead of using their precious time and money for something tangible.”

He is trying to be a motivational speaker aside his church business so as his members who falls in group of the 'have not' will still have hope.

How many had he helps with the wealth of the church in his own rural areas rather picks a particular rural to assist them - with medical health services, teach them small scales businesses with empowerment and so on.

The Governments and NGOs can't do it alone. It is time for the religion organisation to revisit their empowerment programs for the people back.

Not only that, many people who sub to come online ,can get contract or even a work that will pay.

Being online does not mean one is not suffering?

You even sub 2k -5k data, speak for yourself.

Some sub ₦100 -₦500 to be online, some borrow to sub to be online, some use their last cash to sub to come online in search of job or work to do.
Is that not suffering ??

Many are staving, but have to come online by all means just for ends to meet.

And mind you not everyone come online to post pictures and the rest of them, speak for yourself that you are not suffering.
actually, you have not seen real suffering that is why you said this. Take your time to visit some villages before you respond. Whoever that has money to sub for internet is not yet suffering but testing the real suffering.

Just Imagine!

SINisSIN:
He is actually right. If you can afford 3k-10k data monthly then you shouldn't be using the word suffering. People who suffer don't even have access to mere 2,000 naira per month.

So na when we get to get to the level of not being able to afford 2k per month, you and your career criminal with imaginary past go rest?

If you can comfortably remove 3k, 5k, 10k for data every month then it means you still have small change to use for the rest of the month.

But Nigerians don't like to hear the truth, we prefer the ones that we want to hear.

The annoying thing is most people on social media are not even there for any productive. Just watch tiktoks, follow celebrities, watch skits.

You see humans! They are terrible

See this mohammedan idiotic bastard that supported buhari, and now the bag man, he thinks we should be okay with their wretched state of poverty and down agressive mind.

You are not suffering so I guess he wasn't referring to you grin.
Alot of people don't use upto 2k a month.
But wait o, is he saying we should leave the Internet space and get ourselves productive? As in how you want take do am?
Cos you actually need the Internet to sell your products.
Anyways, a lot of pastors nowadays are just motivational speakers and not spirit field, always want to make sense and ended up not making sense at all.
Preach on righteousness and salvation, na lie. Only wealth, prosperity and relationship.
most of them avoid the book of proverbs so they don't shoot themselves on the leg while trying to pass a message
Be honest to yourself, how many people online are actually selling a product?

Your post lacks substance

Don't you know that hunger mixed with depression is Death.

Having access to Internet and social media helps your mental health.

Lol and don't you know that the same social media causes depression for some people? When they start seeing different fake life that they can't afford.

Many people are not on social media and they are not depressed.

Social media is not a solution for a depressed soul. There are medical advice, diagnosis and treatment for that.

But then, your points.

Not entirely true. Majority browse on free mode just to while away time and get over the hunger panger. Those in the rural areas do farming and sometimes have more food than some on social media. That they don't come on media or have the means doesn't mean they don't have produce from their farms to feed from. You expect them to come and be announcing all that on social media?
This your message is derailing Biko.

Not only product you sell on the Internet bro,you can sell skills too.
You need the Internet on any job you do, either for upgrade on thecnical know-how or sell your skills.
Even a common farmer need the Internet to keep updated and inform on the happenings around the agricultural sector. Even bricklayers too need the Internet.
Remember we're currently living in a techy age where all you do is sorrounded by technology and innovations. Even a begger at the bustop need the Internet to be well informed on the lookout for a new location incase govt go come pursue them grin grin
