Every single Nigerian contributed to this. We rather import than manufacture, we prefer foreign products, politicians stash money abroad, we import skilled people to build our infrastructure, we only export oil. Etc.

Nigerians, it's all your fault.

This is like saying it's the citizens of developed countries that made the country develop.

The leaders have the actual power to do something but are too incompetent. The only fault the citizens have is voting incompetent leaders.

Every country import.

Let them provide basic amenities first.

When will it stabilize
opamoses1:
Naira is finding its real value. No more padding it with $1.5 billion monthly.

It will surely stabilize then healing can begin.

I'm sorry Chief... You lost me there. Could you kindly clarify your position?!

Thank you.

We are in a free fall now, like Zimbabwean economy has been for years, since the fundamentals have changed for worse since 2015, and more so since May.

Who allows the leaders to emerge from among themselves? Can it be the people, who ultimately are the ones who have sovereignty

Unfortunately the pretentious progressives are not going to do anything to privatise and deregulate our refineries and NNPCL.

The man who has made this his signature policy was mocked by our “experts”.

People who went to borrow more Dollars to prop up the Naira...!

Everything begins and ends with borrowing.

Progressives indeed!

You grab and snatch power, yet you have no clue what to do with it.

According to someone:

"Nigerian government won't let you leave, and won't allow you live in peace"! grin

Real free fall... Buhari simply put the nation on autopilot since 2015, and went about his personal business.

The fact that APC won consecutively in the last 2 elections shows that most Nigerians have no real desire to leave poverty.

I wish them well.

You people keep electing very old, sick, vegetable brains as your leaders in this country. .

Thieves that have stolen billions of dollars that can't feel any winds of a negative economy in the next 30 years. .

You had a Buhari. . You handed Barton to a Tinubu. . Same sick vegetables that can't even comprehend a paragraph of message in a paper.

The best years of Nigeria were during the PDP administration.

PDP administration sought competent hands to handle the sensitive affairs of the country regardless of tribe or language. They were corrupt in their own way but they steered the nation in calm waters economically.

Buhari came in, and with him came tribalism. Hausas headed 90% of the sectors of the nation. We all know how it ended. Then Tinubu came to build on the legacy of his predecessor by appointing Yorubas to head the majority of this sectors. The common thread in both failed administrations is their deep-seated tribalism which influenced their selection rather than capability. In fact, the only thing that remains is for Tinubu to just use Nigeria as collateral for more loans but even greedy investors will reject it because they cannot feel any pulse in the economy. Who wants to invest in a farm that has never produced fruits for more than 8 years now?

Go to BDC guys and buy. Open a domiciliary account and save it there. Naira is gone.
buy and hold physical bills. Anytime from now they will officially move to confiscate funds in Dom accounts. When you need your $$$ they will tell you they will pay the naira equivalent, at official rate of course.

The way they say crash, you'll think it's a good thing as in prices crashing down or stuff like that.

But in essence, it simply that we are now in that town hall he was talking about not so long time ago!

Or could there even be another town hall different from what we are seeing?
na the same town hall my guy.

The blue town hall different from balablu, blublu, and bulaba.

Nigerians, it's all your fault.

How did the average Nigerian decide not to manufacture?

Did the Nigerian professionals refuse to take jobs offered to them, leading to employment of foreigners?

Do you even know that it's Nigerians who actually do the job the foreigners are hired to do?

How did the average Nigerian decide not to refine oil?

What nonsense are you even saying gaan?

Foreign counterparts know our criminals and have no confidence in the country.
