I said this earlier and someone was arguing with me. If you cannot call the desponent to testify in court, it is mere hearsay as it is assumed that the respondent didn't have a chance to ask questions thereby not defended his/herself. The deposition itself is merely a waste of time if it was not in open court.

As for this
forgery being a criminal offence have to be proved beyond any doubt else you are just playing around
The two issues raised here have summed up the weaknesses of the case!

Atiku just used Obi's head. Why not ask for a rerun btw him and Obi.?
Obedients really carried the matter more than even Atiku.
Atiku's lawyers aren't smart. He should pay them half of their legal fees.

In reality, they are smart (you know, in a 419 kind of way). They knew Sadiku Atiku had no case. Lawyers must chop.

The law doesn't permit that. Or have any of your employer permitted such for your credentials ?

Long ago, I went for an interview in a multinational and of of the white men was very surprised at the way us Nigerian engineers were bringing our original certificates to the interview. He remarked that he expected us to come with other documents and not degree certificates untill one of the interviewers who is a Nigerian told him that in Nigeria, interviewees are required to present their certificates.

What I'm saying in essence is that, what is obtainable in some countries may not be required in Nigeria

So I read through comments of those still supporting Tinubu and I am tempted to believe they are fake accounts created to counter reason and logic. That's the only logical explanation cuz I don't see how a sane Nigerian will be behind this clueless government except the person has been sworn on to like and die suffering. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

The court should slam Siddiq Abubakar with 15billion damages for wasting their time on this nonsense case.

Even Atiku Kojoli know he is just wasting his time and I am sure his emergency headless mob supporters also know they are just catching cruise and nothing serious will come out of their clownery.

Is it Siddiq Ologbon you are talking about like that?

Why will a judge who is suppose to be neutral ask a lawyer, "what will you gain if you win this appeal"?. That comment is enough reason to demoralize the lawyer, thus, he had no option than to withdraw the appeal.
The question is in order!

On your assertion that the CSU Registrar ought to enter the witness box and testify against Tinubu for it to be accepted by the Nigerian Supreme Court, if this is correct then I think Atiku need some refunds from his US Lawyers for not thinking towards this direction.

Mr Olanipekun jokingly points out the contradictions in Atiku’s prayers, where he prayed the court to disqualify Mr Tinubu as a candidate in the election, and in another breath, called for a rerun to be conducted between him and Mr Tinubu.

This is most important point the case..... A whole SAN is so confused about what he wants.....

Not a whole SAN, it's not one SAN, it's a group of SANs that don't know what they want. Even in Secondary School debate, we never argue this foolish

There are some funny things i noticed in this record of proceedings, how come only the Igbo judges asked all the questions?, does it mean all the other judges had no questions to ask or their minds are already made up?, secondly,if justice okoro said, there were two conflicting letters from CSU on the authenticity of Tinubu's certificate, who submitted the letters?,n doesn't that in itself show that something is definitely not right with Tinubu's certificate and there's the need for the supreme Court to examine the issue very critically? like Atikus lawyer said,is the deposition under path not supposed to be Superior to the conflicting letters?, the way i see the whole of this is that, the supreme Court, wants to pass their judgement n there by shifting the responsibility to the NASS should the FBI files returns a damning results against Tinubu,to claim that their hands were tied but deep down within them they all know there's something very dubious about Tinubu's certificate.

No I don't agree with you,was the respondent no represented by his lawyers during the deposition?, besides is deposition not legal?,but can a third party vendor reproduce a certificate without any clearance or confirmation from the primary source?,if the primary source gives such clearance or confirmation why would they refused to authenticate what the third party vendor reproduce then?,look I can understand if the supreme Court chooses to refuse admitting the new evidence based on consitutional provision n lack of precedence n there by leaving everything to the NASS if the FBI files eventually turns out odious, but you all know that there is something dubious about Tinubu's certificate,in fact the two conflicting letters from CSU is a clear pointer to it.

When I read a post where a person keeps asking questions like this using ifs ifs ifs, what I am familiar with especially here on nairaland is that they themselves cannot answer the question and have enough backing to do so because those questions are based on assumptions and speculations

The country is not worth putting hopes on. If it is constitutional that the president should meet some basic educational standards, if he is deficient on this (as his credentials seems fraudulent and he is not ready to clear the air), I am not sure there is a need for this much legal proceedings to do things rightly.
