This is sad and funny. The man obviously fell for sweet words of the boss who was in dire need of a donor for his brother. The man just took advantage of him knowing he's not really educated and ignorant. This is what the rich and influential brazenly do to the poor. They believe nothing will happen and they can buy their way out of it.

The arrest of the boss is because he is only rich but not an influential figure in Nigeria. A person like Ekweremmadu will never be invited for questioning talkless detention if he committed his own crime over here.

The worrying thing about this is that the victim most definitely didn't know the health implications of his actions.

Both the boss and the doctor must have deceived and assured him that he is in good condition as long as one of his kidney is still there. Theu may even tell him that walking around with two kidneys is a waste of opportunity when you can easily donate one, make money, change your life and continue flexing with the remaining one. He didn't know that it comes with dire consequences.
