DABIGATRAN:
Enyeama played for Calabar Rovers but it was actually at Enyimba that he got his first national team call-up
Enyeama played for Ibom Stars which was formerly known as Mobil Pegasus of Eket, but now Akwa United.

He moved to Enyimba from Ibom Star then a division two club in Nigeria league,in fact he met Dele Aiyenigba as first choice in Enyimba.

He did not played for Calabar Rover.

Enyeama eagles sojourned was a story of destiny child. He joined Enyimba 2001/2002 season after Enyimba friendly match with Inter Milan which Enyimba lost 7-0 with Aiyenigba Dele in goal.It was a match organized by Ronaldo to mark his return after long absence due to injury and money raised was donated to United Nations Relief Fund for Africa,Asia and South America less privileged.

Enyeama was discovered playing for Ibom star by eagles goalkeeper trainer Amusa Adisa but didn’t get invitation until the goalkeeping crew realized Ejide was not ready after Scotland friendly.Just two months in Enyimba he was invited and had a good game against Kenya in a friendly.

The big question,a keeper that kept in WC against England was a division two player a season ago in NPFL but just some months in NPFL division one,now the best Nigeria keeper in Nigeria football history.

Time to give Amas Obasogie of Bendel Insurance,Christian Nwoke of Sporting Lagos,Kayode Bankole of Remo Star and Stanley Nwabili of Chipa in South Africa league the chance to compete in eagles cuz we can be having bench warmers as Super eagles keeper.

This is a pure fact. We cannot allow FU to give us HBP during afcon, and WCQ.

I think the first post talked about Enyeama being called to the SE while at akwa united which is not true, we all know Enyeama moving to enyimba prompted his call to the eagles. Enyeama was a darling of the aba fans even after moving to rivals iwuanyanwu nationale. Our coaches should look inward to solve this goalkeeping issue.

Osayi style of play showed that he was a thorough winger, reason why he join the attack often….I don’t mind seeing Aina at the back and Osayi in the front…it happened in the 80s with Aimsemeaka and Owolabi.,also 2002,Babayaro and Udeze.

Osayi is a proper defender. I have no doubts he can play up front but let's not underestimate what he brings us at the back.

He was on eagles radar right from Ibom star but got his eagles invitation in Enyimba after fewer games.

As you said our coaches should look inwards, imagine monitoring NPFL division two player, reason why I gave kudos to Amusa Adisa for the opportunity given to Enyeama,Ejide and Aiyenigba.

I digressed a bit in my response to let people know the important of scouting in our leagues.

How did you mean one is static and the other a roamer? If Osimhen is the static one, why not bench him for Awoniyi while Boniface roams, after all, the EPL is better than Serie A?

Or better yet, bench Boniface in order to play two static strikers with no one to roam. Oga you can not leave out your player that plays in the EPL just because you want a balance and a stable team. Don't tell me that please. 😡.

Now I understand.

Maybe that's why he has been mostly use as a sub for his team?
Anyway he was on bench for them today as they won by 6 goals to nill with two Nigerians scoring Samuel Akere and Umeh Emmanuel who I rate highly

Yes it was Fenerbahce and I must admit that was a brilliant idea. You would have thought he played as a fullback all his life.

Fredericks nko? Daga too had a great tournament.Mr. Salisu just messed up the chance of these guys competing for U23 Olympics. We honestly need to get our acts together in all underage competitions. That requires a lot of planning and hardwork by the NFF.

One of the best, he was. He wasn't the best. Let's not mistake preference for the facts.

He wasn't even our most important midfielder but definitely a solid midfield performer.

This u20 team seems to have many players who will do well at the senior level. It will be an achievement if it happens but the signs are there.
That will be the real success.
Also i think Benjamin Frederics has a high ceiling. He is a classy player. He has got everything to be world class. Hope he breaks into brentford first team. He has been rated for a few years now

Well to me he was…. I watched him keenly with d way he Carries d ball and try to create dt assist ,d charisma with d way he plays was above his peers .he plays like someone who has a senior first team experience (club wise) b4 d tournament, I might b wrong though

Nnadi was very good at the U20 WC so much that I practically wrote this myself on the lad (read below) on this thread.

But in truth, the main man of the Flying Eagles Midfield & the most important component that held it together in the middle was Daniel Daga. If you know what it means to successfully execute a single pivot role defensively and masterfully, you will appreciate Daga much more.

Both MFs show huge potentials and nnadi is the older of the two.

Two truths can co-exist.

Benjamin Frederick was our best player at the U20 WC. I truly hope he breaks through upwardly from the Brentford U23 setup.
