I believe the old man must be having a nap. The man came to the gate furiously. He must have thought it was NEPA guys. He got to the gate and saw these guys and did not allow them to start their preaching before sending them away. The man was so mad that he shouted and scolded these guys.

I don't think any home theatre volume has ever been raised to the point of hearing it in the third Street.

2. The standard approved noise level in industrial areas shall not exceed 90 decibel during the day.
3. The standard approved noise level for commercial areas shall not exceed 70 decibel during the day.
4. All religious houses, Club Houses and other entertainment outlets are to operate within enclosed and soundproof environments with regulated use of speakers, giving due consideration to neighbouring residents.
5. The above facilities shall equally reduce the number of internally placed speakers to the barest minimum to address only the congregation and clientele and not the neighborhood..
6. All open air and outdoor activities shall be carried out with due authorization from relevant Government agencies while those involving the use of amplifiers and speakers shall hold after due authorization from LASEPA without contravening the stipulated approved noise limit for that environment.
7. The use of power generating sets in commercial, residential and industrial areas shall be in compliance with the stipulated noise levels without any negative impact on human health and the environment.
8. The use of megaphones/amplifiers at motor parks, commercial centers and more shall be duly controlled/regulated to ensure that the permissible noise limit for the environment is not exceeded.
9. Religious activities are to be carried out in a completely enclosed structure while uncompleted buildings and tents are not allowed.
10. Pending enclosure of facilities that are yet to be enclosed/soundproof, no musical instruments shall be used at night so as not to disturb the neighborhood especially during week day evening services and night vigils for religious houses, and events on entertainment/clubbing activities etc.
11. Obtain noise permit for open air shows, crusades and promotional advertisements etc
12. The use of power generating plants in residential, commercial and industrial outlets shall not affect others by way of noise pollution.

Personally, I feel every church in residential areas should be demolished. You can't be making people's life a living hell with noise. Nobody wants that. These people are very wicked and insensitive.

As a child, on my street and directly facing my house, was a Deeper Life Church. The owner of the property had ceeded the building to his Church, which was quickly converted. They mounted their PA system outside, facing our house. Damn!!!...the noise emanating from there was deafening and irritating. So, one day I summoned up courage and approached them to air my displeasure about the noise , and that they should put the speakers right inside their hall, or take it out completely. They never obliged, instead continued with their nuisance for another week. Then, on this particular day I and my younger brother brought out one of my uncle's big,loudspeakers, who was a musician. We placed the speakers outside, facing the church, and slotted in a Heavy Metal tape, which is a genre of Rock music.. Ómo, the sound, as we increased the volume from the amplifier was times 100 compared to what was coming out from their irritating, speakers. They didn't have any option but to shut themselves inside their hall. I went and disconnected
the wire connected to their own speaker. In fact the whole street came out to beg us to turn down our volume. The church came and reported to our dad but we're disappointed at my dad's response. Since that day till now, they haven't tried that again. Even the last time I went home for Xmas, I noticed they are still abiding by the rules. I also have sworn not to ever live in areas where they have churches or mosques, no matter what.

Event centres..religious buildings and any building that is prone to make noise should be made to be in isolated locations based on building laws..every estate should have areas where organisations prone to making noise should be based.

Your own better, my own there are 3 churches surrounding my compound, like bothisde of the building and the back. You know who close Lagos building is to each other? That's how close these churches are.

The hold weekly programs almost everyday, if one is absent, the others won't be absent. Vigils every Fridays, the blast speakers on the fullest... It's so bad I don't return home from work sometimes for weeks or month.

If you approach them, you become the next topic on Sunday.

I did not even mention mosque, there are 2 mosque, these ones... Forget sleep from 5am

Endure their noise till the time pastor is ready to preach or collect offering/tithe.....let the sermon keeps going....prior to that...go get a good powerful and very loud sound system and install it close to them too. Blast Davido, Asake, Bob Marley......if you wan vex them...record moslim praying...and blast it in their head. Make sure you don't allow them to take offering and tithe in peace.

No one will tell them before they respect themselves.

I have bent a church like that. The pastor ran to my place and was doing like "innocenti". We welcome him and played Ron Kenoly for him to confuse him more cos na moslim prayer we take scatter his head with the sound system. He talked and complained...and all I did was to flip through the next set of songs I have in the cooler for him. I just told him...you disturb my sleep, I will disturb you from taking your tithe. 50 - 50. Shikena. No one told him to remove the loudspeaker. And I removed mine too. Problem solved.
