FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike presenting the symbolic key to the city of Abuja to the visiting German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on his arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport on Sunday.

The Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, arrived in Nigeria Sunday afternoon.

His aircraft touched down at at the Presidential Wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, at about 2.20 pm Nigerian time, in the presence of top Nigerian government officials.

He was received by the Nigerian Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He is currently in a closed-door meeting in the Presidential Villa after which he would be visiting the ECOWAS Commission to meet with the President of the Commission, Truray Omar.
