Twenty-four out of 32 members of Rivers Assembly have signed a document to impeach Governor Siminialayi Fubara.

They served impeachment notice on Fubara after impeaching and suspending House Leader Edison Ehie who is believed to be on the Governor’s side.

The decisions were taken at an emergency sitting by the lawmakers on Monday morning.

The unusual sitting took place between 7am and 9am on Monday.

Although newsmen were barred from the sitting, The Nation gathered that all the 24 members who signed the impeachment notice were present.

Ehie was not present at the sitting but later came in with the Governor.

However the action had already been concluded as the lawmakers left the Assembly complex through the second gates before Fubara and Ehie were allowed access to the complex.

Gbam, the speaker will become the next governor soon. They will be waiting for judiciary to ratify the impeachment process and wike control the judiciary of river state. The governor need to act fast to stop the impeachment from happening.

Wike chose Sim as his successor not because of Sim's meekness, but because of his stupidity.

Every leader wants a sheep because a sheep is a very stupid animal even though it is overlooked as obedience.

Sim is a mediocre civil servant with a low IQ who finds it hard to construct basic sentences to produce a decent speech. That kind of guy can't devise a strategy to fight. Wike chose the weakest and stupidest Rivers man alive to be his successor 😂

Our 'elected' leaders are swift and take firm actions on things that benefit them. Imagine these guys sitting at 7-9 am , see the main National assembly swiftly approving budgets for luxurious vehicles and allowances. BUT when it comes to enacting policies that will benefit the masses, they pretend they do not know how to act.
