From Labour Party(LP) sir smiley

The National Assembly should make law to separate NLC from a political party.

It's dishonest to force workers , including workers working at INEC and Courts, meant to be apolitical and other workers in different political parties to support the political interest of Labour Party because they belong to NLC.

What Mr Ajaero is doing by using NLC to push the political agenda of Labour Party is undemocratic and unacceptable. Check my signature for free stuffs!
but we should allow the president to appoint INEC president, INEC commissioners, CJN etc abi?
How can you get free and fair election when the person that stole the election is the same person that appointed the INEC chairman? And CJN.

Nothing is more sacrilegious than the president of the NLC openly identifying and campaigning for a political party. It has never happened before in the history of this country and the NLC chairman must be ready to face the consequences of his political partisanship.
FFS what is wrong with the labour union of a country forming a political party?

You people don't even use your heads,, anything APC feeds you, you just take it hook, line and sinker.

And that's enough reason for the entire country to be grounded with a nationwide strike? And what are the demands? Removal of the Commissioner of Police and area commanders. How will the removal of Imo state commissioner of police and area commanderschange anything? Are you guys even serious at all?

If Ajaero feels he has been unfairly harassed and brutalized, the sensible thing to do is to go to court. Sue the police for whatever claims the brutalization is worth and not throw the entire country into an unnecessary strike.
I know you you are an ardent BAT disciple but Try and reason beyond the surface. Ajaero has always been a threat to this government and the fracas that happened in Imo has given the APC central government an opportunity to covertly instruct the APC state government in Imo to deal with Ajaero with all available forces, the police is the ready instrument to do the dirty job. Why did all these arrest and "safe-keeping" happen when the 30 days ultimatum issued by NLC is about to lapse? Dont be surprised, one serious allegation will soon be cooked up to remove Ajaero and replace him with a government-appointed NLC president.

Don't mind the meatheads.

Very selective logic... All of a sudden NLC having a party is not what the problem of this country is,,,

Not President appointing INEC Chairman, and President sitting over his own election cases.

This present NLC president is a huge joke, he never finished fighting F.G, he went to the state level. Does that mean state chairman doesn't exist in the constitution of NLC? or is it Ajaero's duty to be fighting for every state when state chairmen are available?

Calling for a strike for a trespasser is uncalled for.

So the whole country should be shut down because an NLC President went to put his mouth into partisan politics. These people are jokers!

When people were dropping dead from naira confiscation policy NLC did not go on strike. When pengassan drivers were diverting petrol trucks to neighbouring countries NLC did not strike.

Now that one man and his friends charged a police road block expecting the blockade to part and instead received tear gas and blows, the entire nation must suffer.

The strike will be a colossal failure as usual.
the beautiful part of this argument is that your turn is coming. The same police you are hailing today maybe the end of your life tomorrow.

Labour party is different from Nigerian Labour Congress

Lp is for politics while NLC is for activism

If he wants to play politics let him resign from activisim. The 2 can't work hand in hand
Rubbish

All that you just stated, is it from the Nigerian constitution or is it straight out your asss?

Show me in the constitution where it says that the NLC Chairman cannot belong to a political party..

In some countries the labour unions form political parties.

Most of you here are educated illiterates. The reason for calling the strike is not just because a man was beaten, NO. It’s because of the office that man represents. A very dangerous precedent is about to be created. If heads does not roll, then it’s completely going downhill from here. Another crucial institution in Nigeria is about to be rendered powerless and useless and am afraid the country might never recover from it. You guys need to understand the significance and gravity of the sacrilege that was committed here. Think…….

NLC is gradually losing its relevance in this country. Nlc can't continue to hold the county to ransom especially considering our precarious economic situation.. Strike should be a last resort and not the ist option to activate whenever they have issue with government . What concerns the whole county with the issue at Imo state for crying our loud. I hope NLC has not fully turned to opposition party

I have no opinion about what happened in Imo. He got involved in the local politics and he should expect the consequences. Whatever the case is, it’s not enough to declare a nationwide strike. If he was arrested illegally and brutalized, he should go to court. That’s the legal thing to do. Going on strike because the NLC president was arrested is senseless, frivolous and illegal.

On the contrary, NLC is supposed to checkmate the government like an opposition party will do and the only weapon in their arsenal is Strike. Tell me this not too hard for you to understand.
