You're the most daft person I have ever seen in my life before, if you don't have anything to comment can't you just keep quiet. Tribalism ooze out of you, what brought ipob into this thread.
For those that Will call me Igbo just because of what I said, check his post very if he made any sense and also there are more than 270 tribes in Nigeria , nairaland is made for Nigerians, not just for Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa
To be honest with you, the problem does not seem to be Ipoh but a brain damaged set of people bent on dragging Nigeria to a cesspool and still call out ipob

See a Oyibo naked inside office because of AC wey no dey work.

Do you know that you reason better & more productive in an Air-Conditioned office?
Maybe that is the reason we are less productive in this part of the world.
That would then be the fault of the Americans. Go back and read that post (the anti-spam bot banned me before I could write it). That earth station wasn't Nigerian owned. It's not Lanlate. That was the earth station that was built by the American NASA in Kano.

Naptu, why would u use the word "SEEMS"?
It's clearly abandoned and unused.
Infact, what is left is for abokis that deal in scraps to be made aware of this site for them to come buy the parts as scraps.
Re: Pictures Of The First Nigerian Owned Satellite Earth Station by ezugegere(m): 8:09am On Nov 05, 2023
This is not true. Benin Airlines has been operating a satellite station in the Benin kingdom long before the white men came into Africa. Go to Benin city and verify.

I didn't use that word. In fact, in my post about it (further below that one) I wrote that is has been abandoned. The post you quoted was taken from another website (you can see the link below it).

The earth station at Lanlate is not the first earth station in Nigeria.

The first earth station in Africa was set up in Kano in 1961 by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of the United States. In the mid-1960s, NASA used a network of communication bases around the world to track spacecraft during various missions of the Gemini program. One of these stations was located in Kano, Nigeria. Here are pictures of that earth station.

That it is abandoned is not an assumption, the Facilities there are completely rotten... I wonder why we are good at chronic wastages.. I know because it is my Hometown.

Bringing back memories

It was abandoned because we don't know how the technology works, and there has been immense advancement in communication tech beyond the such infrastructure too

Turning it to a tourist site isn't our culture
