I think your analysis is not correct. If more people have entered the retail supply end of the gas value chain (common goods), its an increase in supply (not demand) and should mean lower prices. It means that getting gas now is easier than before(improvement in supply), this should deflect the price lower in the demand-supply curve. If you say that the demand for gas has gone up above supply then you can assume price should go up. Can we say demand is going up because people are cooking more? It's also not because of the gas generator conversion because the numbers are insignificant. It can't be CNG because that's different from LPG.
