gave me their price which says 2kg n above is 9.1 USD.

I was very concerned about the price

So to clear my doubt I called them via a voice call to verify the shipping cost again
And I was told that 2kg is 9.1 USD.

Then I proceed in fact I sent them the money to purchase the item for which I paid for this service
It's my first time importing n I told them.

So everything I spent was 39,400
Now the item arrived Nigeria and they called me to pay 23,573 to collect my item.

I asked why they said the price they gave me was per kg which is not true.
I feel this is scam cos I was very careful about the shipping cost n called them twice to be sure.

Now they they refused to release my item that I must pay 23,575
Over an item of 39,400.

Please if you have experience i will love to hear you .

I am saying you should check that they are really a genuine company, because this there format looks like a deliberate scam ... usually they should send you an invoice before you make payments as well as reciept for payment and everything would have been stated clearly...

I paid for their charges and they shipped my goods to the usa ! So after my fish was shipped they now started asking for more money ….
Up till now I didn’t received my smoked fish ( I believe they must have cooked and eat them ) hungry people

And still collected my money for shipping

Hmmmmm, 9.1 USD 2kg and above means 9.1 multiply by 2kg. Is the coy the owner of the ship or plane that it will charge a flat rate for anything above 2kg? What if your goods is taking half of a cargo space in terms of weight, will it still be 9.1kg

This is not a scam. Shipping of non battery goods from China to Lagos cost about $8.5 per kg. There's is slightly higher. Please note that cost of item you purchase has nothing to do with cost of shipping. You can buy item of $1 weighing 1kg, you will still be charged $8.5 to ship it.
