Undecided means you are qualified for admission into a particular faculty but you do not know the department to choose or perhaps your host University will decide for you because they want to see which department your present qualification fits in. In that case if i were you and the VO asked you ; WHY WERE YOU PLACED ON UNDECIDED PROGRAM ?

ANSWER : I opted for undecided because the whole program in the faculty of Social sciences (For SAMPLE) in my Host-University suits my post Bsc educational plans , therefore I am good to go with any program given . You may or may not add this ; ( Aside that, my present qualifications according to my host University can only be placed under undecided program which is well aligned with my post study plan.... Good points… even though the original question didnt come from me, I was trying to find it out what is the offered degree program in his/her I-20?

If it’s a BS program, I would not make mention of any associate program since I have been offered a 4-yr scholarship.

If VO brings it up, I would say that it’s a 2-part program.. 1st part entails taking prerequisites within associate degree curriculum.

Then, 2nd part entails taking core major courses culminating in a BS degree completion.

I would like to know from OP, why did you choose undecided major?

I applied for only associate degree in the course I want to study and the admission automatically came with schoolarship offering me another 2years program to complete 4 years. So the undecided program seems to be the department I'm going in on my arrival. Definitely I'm going for BSc straight up. Thanks bro

Hello house, if one has two sponsors ( husband/mum) how will they be mentioned on the Ds160 because on the 120 their names are written, sponsorship is not indicated as family funds. And it's just one space for the sponsor on the DS 160.

But your 1-20 says BS? I would advise you to stick to 4-yr study plan when being interviewed. To avoid ambiguity, you should clearly define your major/course now. VOs may not be openly receptive to applicants without a clearly defined major. They may say.. why would Naija parents in this bad economy sponsor their child without a defined major?. As most Nigerians, we know what we would love to do after high school. You have to align your goals with your I-20.

Do understand his assertion to a point. For the writing sample, your masters thesis would suffice and I used that to gain 3 admissions all with funding. I have also been able to secure a research assistantship to assist a research institute with their research for my PhD but I have no publication.

Yes of course . Some school's admission policy depends on which department you re applying to,which course of study , your Alma mata (OAU or Covenant or OOU) etc. Regardless, there re still many Unis in the US which accepts 3rd class applicant's.... Check the list below ....
