carbonado:😄😄 bro. I already knew since following the falcons in 2004, that if any Nigerian team would win the world cup, the super falcons are favourites to do that first before the super eagles. Since then I put more passion on super falcons than the male national team. 3 Likes |

GeneralDae:.. Same here.. My favorite national team is Dtigress(Senior female basketball team), followed by Superfalcons. It sad that our mens football team have fallen off real bad, i feel the talent pool is actually there, its coaching and style of play that should bw worked on, we play too slow, very sluggish football. I miss the old days, the golden era of the mens team... Anyway, when is superfalcons next game o... And i hope our darling Ucheibe, Ayinde woyld have fully recovered... 1 Like |

carbonado: Ucheibe would definitely be available but for Halimatu Ayinde I doubt as her injury is over a month now since their League game against Djurgaden DFF early last month.. Anyway Fast rising Deborah Abeodun is Capable of doing the job on Elder Ayinde behalf..! Regina Otu another Combative Midfielder.. |

Desire Oparanozie in her recent interview said she would have loved to play along side Ifeoma Onumonu at no.9 position at the National Team Level but when the opportunity came around b4 the World Cup/World Cup Proper she herself got injured and wasn’t fit enough...! She also said she regrets turning down a move to the NWSL 🇺🇸, though the decision was because she was already Comfortable in France and very used to the system there.. So going to the NWSL would have been another fresh start up for her.. 1 Like

GeneralDae: There shouldn’t be any worries though even though the Tanzanian side are fast rising…! Home Advantage and one or two changes would do the job… Expecting Chinyere Kalu to come into the Defensive Midfield position though as she’s the next to Ucheibe (Mini Ucheibe) |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 9:30am On Nov 18, 2023 |
Kibbs: Ajakaye is definitely not up to Linda Caicedo level yet even though she’s very quick which is her major asset.. As for E Onyenezide and F Sabastine they ain’t far from it maybe I will give Caicedo 70%, Onyenezide 55% Sabastine 55% all over 100% I will rate Onyi Echegini at same level with Linda Caicedo and the only difference been that she isn’t Playing Pro yet.. A 5% difference btw both.. but Precision in front of goal Onyi is way better than Linda Caicedo. 1 Like |

Ah ah...'Calm down', Deltamani - as one of the contributors on this forum always says to me . Look, Caicedo is ranked this high for a reason and yes, she IS deserving of the title. Salma only blossomed for Spain at the world cup (where she was not even a starter until later on in the competition) and before then, was a bit part player for Barcelona, where she was also a bit part player. Caicedo, on the other hand, played in ALL the grade level WWCs and excelled. She was highly instrumental in making Colombia reach a quarterfinal spot. For me, Caicedo was more influential to women's football than Salma was this year. By far and very well deserved! Deltamani: 1 Like 1 Share |

I am sorry, but y'all are grossly overrating these two young ladies. They are up and coming, but certainly NOT anywhere close to Caicedo. No way! Honestly, Onyi is good also, but is not that good in comparison also. We all need to temp down all these comparisons, as neither of the three ladies in question even play (or have ever played) at the level and caliber of competition as Caicedo.
