Tinubu need to tamm north excesses if Nigeria must move forward.

North should forget any alliance SE in 2027. We won't fall this time around.

Who will tame Tinubu/Yoruba excesses?
And what does Tinubu presidency benefit SE?
Politics is all about interest not emotions and other considerations.
If north comes up and offer a good deal to SE why should we reject it?

Ganduje is not really a weak man but he’s full of baggage and encumbrances that he can easily be taken out with a single court order.

I was telling Garfield1 this same thing that Tinubu is intentional in decimating the powers of the north.

He offered them a Greek gift and they fell for it.

In trying to dodge a bullet (Obi) they ran into land mines (Tinubu).

I’m not sorry for them at all.

Ganduje is never in the same pedigree with Kwankwaso. He lacks the followership in the North and does not have the clout to pursue presidential election nationally. Tinubu is carefully neutralizing those he knows could be a threat to him in 2027 while empowering those that are weak. The likes of Matawale, Nuhu ribadu, Ganduje etc.

Once El Rufai, Atiku and Kwankwaso are neutralized, I don't see any other Northern politician who can be a threat.

OP is an ibo trying to instigate yoruba against Nigerians.. Tinubu is not doing anti North or anti anybody. What he's doing is at the best interest of the whole country.

Its the turn of the South and power wil return to North in 2031!

Igbo people are so easily manipulated by Yoruba .. against the north.

While the same Yoruba form come back to claim the prize and insult a living hell out of igbos grin

After Peter Obi, all bets are off.
For 20 years, Igbo leaders told Nigeria that it is Igbo turn to produce the president, but Nigeria pretended not to hear it.
Igbo youths really didn't want to believe in Nigeria, but Peter Obi happened.
They needed one last proof that Nigeria is hopeless or holds no future for them.
That is why Obi followed all the due processes: Dotted all i's and crossed all t's.
Obi went through all the legal processes and the entire institutions failed.
All Igbo see today is a country that wants to put them in perpetual servitude.
So, in essence, Nigeria has lost the Igbo nation, probably for good.
A country losing the loyalty of about a quarter of her own citizens cannot be stable politically. FACT.
This is a totally different development.
And no Yoruba spin can make the Igbo accept Tinubu, who effectively STOLE their turn.
When the North conducted counter-coup of July 1966, it only succeeded because they chose a Yoruba man Awolowo to be de facto prime minister. That way, they played the west against the east.
The North can play the east against the west next time. Just saying...

The problem of easterners is not knowing and understanding the politics of Nigeria

Another is ego and the believe that power is served .. even when not deserved

How do you expect Obi to win election without political sacrifice .. but based on the fact that east has supported other region.. in what government and what time ..
Nigeria politics keep evolving..

Tinubu paid the price .. when he betray a southerner for a northerner .. and was rewarded .. even against all odd .. he forced himself .. now sentiments steadied him and his government .. emilokan became kept him.

What has Obi put in place .. in a country ruled by sentiment and justice

Oga next hundred years.. igbos won’t smell the Presidency .. if they chose to keep playing politics of emotion

PDP would have won this election and igbos would have had legit claim to power ..

But they threw all that .. because Yoruba taunt them of supporting PDP without .. having consideration.

A hundred Obi will never win Asiwaju if PDP has given him ticket ..

A million Asiwaju won’t have won a PDP in government with an Igbo candidate ..

That’s where igbos failed

Always allowing Yoruba dictate for them .. without seeing the trap

The problem here is difference of values and perspectives.
Igbo may never produce Nigeria's president in light of those differences of values and perspectives. But then Nigeria cannot continue to be one country. And this time, Igbo youths are not waiting for their elders to convince them about staying in Nigeria.
The ranks of armed groups are swelling in leaps and bounds in the east because of this fact.
So, the mistake most of you make is to assume that Igbo would simply go home and sulk and do nothing.
TINUBU DID NOT WIN ANY ELECTION. HE WAS RIGGED IN.
And his being rigged in will have serious consequences for the future of progress minded Igbo nation.
So, these your usual Nigerian warped mindset whereby you pretend that Nigerian institutions are working: NO IGBO IS BUYING IT.
I don't know when you people would understand that Igbo believe in MODERNITY, DUE PROCESS OF LAW, EQUALITY, TRANSPARENCY OF PROCESS. ETC.
A rogue rigs elections, and installs his cabal, and you expect Igbos to accept that Obi "lost"?
TInubu did not defeat Obi.
INEC imposed Tinubu on Nigeria.
IF tomorrow another election comes, nobody in the east would bother to even get a PVC, because it is useless.
Conflict would almost certainly settle Nigeria's future, not elections, because all institutions connected to elections have failed.
Tinubu's presidency is contributing to the political instability of Nigeria.
And anybody who wants Nigeria to continue being one, takes note of that.

Just shut up!

Igbos were right to go for it rather settle for an inconsequential VP slot under PDP. No Igbo VP can be anywhere as powerful as Osinbajo who was acting president 3 times.

We took the VP under Buhari with the expectation of becoming president. Other southerners can't say and do same.

People still overestimate the influence of the North and underestimate PBAT, The influence of the North was orchestrated by the divided south and sustained by the military rule, and thus, has given an illusion and perhaps impressed on a lot of people that the North has absolute power and influence, but without the Military rule, the North has no leverage. The military rule made Babangida, Abdulsalam and a host of other former military boys who would otherwise have been unknown really influential and be in a position to control our political scene the way they did decades back.

Democracy on the other hand is a totally different game, the influence those retired northern military boys had on Obj in 1999 has dwindled so much that for the first time in our history, an election was won by a civilian without any significant role or influence of any of those Northern military boys, reason why a Wike can be FCT minister and southerners appointed head to where exclusively used to be northerners playground. Doings like that are doings of a man devoid of any external control, and for as long as we continue to run a democracy, northerners have nothing on southerners. Abiola and PBAT have proven how easy it is to get the northerners to do your bidding, easier to control the northerners than the southerners, you just have to know how to tactically and strategically use them, they are highly predictable.

What’s happening is karma at play but people don’t understand, when you sow tribalism ,bigotry, hate and violence what did you expect to reap?

APC was founded on this credentials and as such would uphold it, the northerners in their desperation for power and being power drunk were ready to destroy Nigeria to get the presidency by all means, they got the presidency and to sustain it they had to turn to tribalism and religion, because they couldn’t trust anyone else from other ethnic and religious group ,fast forward to 23 Tinubu is applying a principle they laid down so no one can complain .

I think the Igbo people should be patient it would get to them someday no one can tell the future ,but destroying Nigeria because you did not get the presidency would never make you get it eventually.

Re: Decline Of Northern Nigeria & Why Tinubu Is Going For The Jugular by jaytimeo: 1:07am On Nov 20, 2023
What’s happening is karma at play but people don’t understand, when you sow tribalism ,bigotry, hate and violence what did you expect to reap?

APC was founded on this credentials and as such would uphold it, the northerners in their desperation for power and being power drunk were ready to destroy Nigeria to get the presidency by all means, they got the presidency and to sustain it they had to turn to tribalism and religion, because they couldn’t trust anyone else from other ethnic and religious group except their own that is fit for appointments ,fast forward to 23 Tinubu is applying a principle they laid down so no one should complain .

If they could ignore principle of federal character Tinubu can do same what you sow you reap.

I think the Igbo people should be patient it would get to them someday no one can tell the future ,but destroying Nigeria because you did not get the presidency would never make you get it eventually.
