Throwback:

Why do we like making assertions that are not true?

He clearly pointed out the kind of mistake he was referring to.

He insisted that the state government will continue to publish its records and people are welcome to always scrutinize and give feedback.
Welcome
What kind of mistake was he referring to

@ Throwback, I want to see your response to Sanwo Olu's comment who admits to the bogus lines in the state's budget
Re: We Can Make Mistakes - Sanwo-Olu Reacts To Lagos Spending by delpee(f): 8:11pm On Nov 21, 2023
At least they responded and they're keeping the website open for us to see and and criticise.

I read through their responses to the comments line by line. I don't quite agree with some but some explanations are fairly reasonable. Now they'll be more meticulous and careful about what they spend on. Many other states are opaque so I appreciate their transparency.

The Procurement agency should be more prudent and diligent going forward. It's a step towards achieving good governance.

All this Igbo miscreant parading as nonentity on Nairaland Sha. Did you even read the news ?
Here is a governor admitting to his mistake, let even assume he lies next election cycle he won't have the audacity to appropriate ₦2b for whatever nonsense that is aside the fact he acknowledged it was a typo n ₦2b was never budgeted by ₦2m n here you are wailing like a foolish miserable soul.

Just yesterday Alex Otti came out with audacity to defend ₦2 billion eating jamboree upon charging another ₦2 billion as security vote. I went through your post and I am yet to see a single comment condemning that note even wailing about that at all.

Can you see why many say hypocrisy hate n bigotry will ruin the average Igbo ?

Is that not the problem...?
Pls worry about the plank in your eyes......

Sorry to say that Nigeria seems to be an amalgam of high calibre idiotas. How do u catch a Governor with his filthy hands in the cookie jar using public funds for personal bazzar and all his PA is saying is that they are happy it was uncovered. No single protest,. Jacob Zuma as President of South Africa was caught in similar situation as Sanwo Olu, he was forced to resign, was tried and even jailed. That is in Africa.

This is not an acceptable answer...you made mistakes...It is simple Math often calculated automatically by computers. This seems fraudulent to me. I already know the way they steal funds mostly is by procurement and consultancy fees...this really revealed that. Not surprised by Osun and Abia as well...Welcome to Nigeria.

Great you admitted fault but whether the mistake was intentional or not, this must not repeat itself to forestall seeing the state in bad lights and this shouldn't just end here, investigate to be sure it's entirely an honest mistake

I am from Lagos State whether you believe it or not is not my concern, my concern is how Sanwoolu is wasting our resources when the masses are suffering.

He should just forget contesting for any governmental positions in future because the past will hunt him.

Some officers in Lagos have all come out to say that indeed we can make mistakes on some lines of items. I heard of a particular one that an item was meant to be N2m but it was written as N2bn.

What a criminal!

How can the government of a WHOLE state mistakenly write #2,000,000 as #2,000,000,000?

That's a mistake of #1.998B.

In what world is that a mistake?

This is the shameless attempt of a criminal to save face. He's a THIEF!

He should be impeached and prosecuted.

Is it even possible to claim that 2 billion naira was spent on deputy governor's office for rechargeable fans within 3 months. Those with working brains would know that it was an error.
Though, not claiming that all of them didn't have bogus spending, from Otti of LP to Sanwo-olu of APC to Ademola of PDP and the rests too

That can never happen in Nigeria in a zillion years.

Remember, Nigeria forgives terrorists and even rewards them.

The whole of Nigeria's government and politics are one big continouse crime scene!

Something is wrong with them I think

because how can a governor of a state with power of judiciary executive and legislative power and all other special advisers will allow such a cumbason mistake to be published to the public 😡
