No state can be compared to the madness wike did in Rivers this past election. Whoever is in support of that or celebrated that barbaric act should have his head checked.

What you have said is actually common knokwledge to adults.
Common knowledge to adults to justify rigging. Lol.

Una dey try to hard to paint everybody the same color as your principal.

Like izzou said, it's just APC looking for a way to justify their rigging.

I should have added that unless there's a disruptive force like that which Obi brought to the table. Even then, who is to say that if Lagos was going to be the decider they would've allowed Obi carry the day?
I think, as you suggested, APC rigged well enough in other states to not too bother about Lagos.

After all, some people were well pleased that Jagaban lost Lagos, despite the fact that Jagaban had cooked well enough in other states.

See, the strongest parties rig even in their stronghold states in order to extend their lead.

To deny this is to be disingenuous.

We must not argue everything.

But Rivers was never a decider.

Infact, if you add all the votes from everybody and give it to Obi, he still won't meet Tinubu.

Wike rigging for Tinubu means he robbed someone else (Let's assume it is Obi).

If he stood for Obi, there would be no need to forge sheets and disrupt the process. The people would have done that neatly.

The Abuja case is just an example of what I am saying.

For every rigging, someone was shortchanged

You don't believe even favourites rig to consolidate their position?

Cross River used to be PDP through and through but it didn't stop PDP from rigging...

For instance, we all know Katsina will vote the APC but it won't stop the APC from rigging to counter whatever PDP does elsewhere. It the same for the other KK states.
What has what your opponent cooking in their strong hold gotto do with a city you have on lock?

Unless you a talking about your opponent manufacturing millions of votes far more than the number of accredited voters, which should even be impossible now. But as long as mutilation of result sheets and writing numbers on top the original one, you do not need to worry about that in your stronghold. This is what happend in Rivers state. ..and if wike didn't step in, it would have been ObI clearing it...

You guys do not reason beyond your partisan inclination.

I purposefully made it clear that Obi would have and should have won Rivers because I know some of you can not hold a conversation or debate without letting your political inclination get in the way of your reasoning but see how you guys are trying to twist things.

From the point about Obi, you can easily deduce I was debating the idea that politicians do not rig their strongholds. I have seen one too many politicians do it before...Sometimes, it is even overzealous followers that perpetuate the act.

And when I say politicians, you should know I mean the greater majority but how you guys expect everything to spelt out here is beyond me.

BREAKING

Enugu Gov’t declares Saturday, November 25, 2023 Water Day.

Water production hits 120,000 cubic meters (120 million liters) daily, the first time ever in the state, and twice the water needs of Enugu metropolis.

Kudos to Governor Mba, he means business and really ready to perform well.
Very good! During his campaign he say 180days is enough for him 2 provide water.

I think say na their normal lamba...

Why should you not be worried? We all know Wike rigged Rivers but what did the courts say?

Next time, you thing Obi supporters (or politician for that matter) will stand and watch it all happen without trying to do same elsewhere or stop it?

That why it was even stupid for Wike to do it.

If I was Tinubu, I'll caution Wike as it is overzealousness taken to new heights.

I wonder whether he has two heads but we should not hold our leaders accountable because all of them go there with the aim of looting and recovering their campaign funds. There's no way there's no stealing even in the west and the Gulf states, difference is they still try to create some things positively while they are there.

Caution, you say? Someone who commited electoral fraud?

Well, he became FCT Minister. His supporters condemned it but celebrated and called it "Agreement is Agreement"

The courts didn't even find anything wrong with it.

When someone said we are back to the OBJ era of elections, i doubted, but it is true

After seeing Wike get away with this and was even rewarded, only a foolish governor will lose election henceforth.

Most of the rhymes were too basic. Like as if I was reading a poem, several repetitions. But an intelligent rapper can still tweak most of the stuff to his own benefit since it scratches the surface.

GEJ conceding defeat to these rascals looks like the worst thing ever to have happened to this country..

We've most definitely taken so many steps backwards..I cannot point to one tangible progress we've made as a nation in these eight years+.

I was going through older nairaland threads as is my habit when I'm free and I saw one 2012 own talking about people selling fast food in buka's where someone commented that guys can still struggle to fill their stomachs with rice 40naira and meat 20naira despite how hard things were with finance then, I laughed till my phone fell off. If you told that poster back then what was coming would make him miss our first female presido GEJ he might have used curses to decorate you then. Just comot mind.

For most states, getting a majority and preventing any of your opponents from getting 25% is often enough dominance, and a candidate that does both has done enough to establish more than enough dominance.

Nope. You also want to amass as many votes as possible in order to contribute to your total national votes and counteract whatever numbers your opponents are delivering in their own stronghold states.

Wike is an illogical fellow. He would have done some rigging even if it was for Obi in order to change 90% to 99%. He was not rigging just to win his state but to prove a point that he was powerful and useful. It would not have needed to be as mad as what he did for Tinubu though.
