So I decided to get a tuber of yam. To my surprise, they said it is #1,200.

You are trying. I've stopped buying yams because I discovered that rice seems cheaper. A N1700 tuber of yam will not serve my family twice whereas a kilo of rice at the same price will be cooked 2 times.

Tap into the blessings, go to farm yourself and stop complaining. Don't ever insinuate that not everyone can farm, everyone can go to farm,even if everyone are saying that, don't be one of them ,get land space either buy or rent, plant whatever you wish not necessarily to be yam, God has blessed us with great fertile land and guess what, if we all do that , that yam or other foods will go down, won't be that expensive.

Ordinarily every average Nigerian Home is suppose to be able to provide 250 tubbers annually. We need to really check where we getting it wrong. I wonder why average Nigerian homes still buy pepper a d ugu leaf. We need to check ourselves truly.

Potatoes of 1k will dwarf the overrated yam tuber. It is only slightly inferior in nutrition to yam.
