I wonder what the craze about foreign investors all about when they are all gonna take the dollars out to the parents companies anyways.
Mtn moved over 1billions dollars last year despite the country suffering one of the biggest FX shortages in history.

They all just pretty much establish assembly factories without adding any value to local supply chain for raw materials.

Imagine establishing tomato paste plant in Nigeria only to be importing tomatoes from Cameroon instead of investing in local farmers to plant more tomatoes for your plant.

A Nigerian that will get most of the raw materials for his industry from locals should be the one running the economy.

Imagine the like of gsk and p&g quitting because they couldn't compete with importation. Isn't that madness?
If your drugs are cheaper than imported one, won't people buy them?

Those importers are destroying the economy with their cheap commodies from China. P&G and Glaxo are also moving to an import based model to faily compete. I guess they will also import their products maybe from their India factories to be sold in Nigeria.

The government should have increased taxation on those importing all sorts into Nigeria.

Cost of the product will be higher for the consumers because demand will be more than supply

Obi is a major importer into Nigeria. P&G now wants to join the importation club. P&G is struggling globally not because of Nigeria they have closed production in several countries in the last 5 years

P & G has always been an importer; the majority of these so-called FMCG products are entirely dependent on imports. It is cheaper to import into Nigeria than waste funds production when all the local supply chain is aboard.

Dangote refinery just started production. Whenever there is any good news about Nigeria, these vultures will rear their ugly head.

Many new companies are also starting up in Nigeria. Enough of the negative, from sore election losers and their hopeless supporters.
