But the truth is that Otti have absolutely nothing to do with it

This is strictly a matter between the leadership of the market and shop owners
and I repeat you are not different from agbadorians and atikulators.... If it was the iyaloja that is imposing levis on lagos marketers, want you call out sanwo Olu or imagine it happened in imo, you will call Hope Uzodima all sort of names. But because it is lp otti, he is absolved from negative pr. And una want make Nigeria better

Bro pls allow anyone to cry over your mention they will cry till eternity. Just zoom the picture see the road, see the area but when we that know the true situation talk they called us igbokwe family but to what gain it is to hide the truth simply because it is my tribe or region? What is not right is not right regardless.

They came here telling those who do not know the true situation that Otti have transform Abia to NewYork zoom that picture and show me the New York.

Just watch those cursed sons and daughters of the beast called obidients will blame Tinubu for these or totally denies it and twist the narrative.

most of youhave never been to ariariai you stay in your houses and exegerate, you may have just visited one cluster in ariria and you think you are in the whole of the market, ariariai is not just one market square you know
Oga,I av been to Ariaria.
The only thing you would tell me is that Ariaria extends beyond the area I know it to be.
Googled where it's said it emcompasses 3 LG areas! That is news and strange to me and if true, then the 10k estimate maybe true. There is even a survey that gave an exact figure of 37k shops!!I acknowledged and stated this in my other posts on this same thread.
I used to think it starts some metres after seven Decking then stops at that Cesspit or muddy or unmotorable area just after the last roll of section of shops.
Don't assume this has anything to do with one not knowing the place or anything to do with tribal fights that are rampant here.
My issue is that from the surface the original statistics looks well exaggerated from what I use to know as Ariaria.

ariria encompasses oaisioma, Aba south and ugwunagbo local government areas, ariaria of 1990 is not same as ariaria of 2020

There is an estimate I just googled that there are 37,000 shops! But it occupies 3 LGAs!!
I still doubt, unless the area I have known as Ariaria market extends beyond what I used to know, but there it is.
anyone can put up anything to Google that's why it's not regarded as trust Worthy for research...

I would have loved to hear from an unbiased mind. The person behind that post - Pastor Okezie, is a core APC supporter. Always looking for every means to tarnish either the image of Peter Obi, Atiku, LP or PDP.

Lol ! When we say Lagos,Yoruba,South West and Tinubu live rent free in your oblong heads, it's not intended to be an insult; it's a fact ! I'm not surprised though;it's your paranoid obsession with anything Lagos and Yoruba that's acting up again as I can't fathom any reason why you have to involve Lagos in this ! Your miserable life is never complete without mentioning "Ragos" (Lagos in cringey igbotic accent),Tinubu and Yoruba in a day ! I'm very sure that you will mention Tinubu and Yoruba in your next lame response, shior !

A slowpoke that mentioned Alaigbo first doesn't want me to mention Lagos. First class dumb skull!
You said that Igboland can't contain thousands of shops, but Lagos that is the smallest state has thousands of shops. Ode!

And u also know the reason many big companies leave Nigeria is because of too much taxation

One major disadvantage of third world countries like ours is that they collect this levies and no no development

MEEVEET:

Would they prefer 40% of their revenue? Tax is important for development

No body has left Nigeria because of two much tax..
If you don't want to pay tax invest the earnings

As long as you take personal earnings 40% tax. Is fair

You can form a cooperative so as to pay cooperate tax and pay 25% profit tax

Will you shut up your faecal ogiri smelly trap, Arindin from a tiny erosion ravaged land of primitive hinterland bushmen! Yes,your entire land of Alaigbo is nothing but a DOT in a circle!

Lol,can anyone even stop you primitive bushmen from that tiny land of criminals from mentioning "Ragos" in a day when it's a known fact that your miserable, pitiable lives depend so much on "Ragos" ?! Yes,I repeat it;your tiny land can't contain a thousand shop ! You can go jump over the 2nd Niger bridge into the River;you won't be missed !

Now,this is the fact you're running away from but I won't allow you : OYO STATE ALONE IS EQUAL IN LANDMASS TO THE SOUTH EAST!

Anambra = 4,844 square kilometers
*Imo. = 5,530 square kilometers
*Abia = 6,320 square kilometers
*Enugu = 7,161 square kilometers
*Ebonyi. = 5,670 square kilometers

Total = 29,525 square kilometers

*OYO STATE = 28,484 square kilometers

Now,run along your fellow hinterland bushmen are waiting for you,Obo !

Go and do your research

Nigeria's tax policy is so brutal

Many companies have left

They pay the tax and enjoy no benefit

No light, no security and no social amenities

What has a gov't being in town got to do with the high-handedness of market leaders!? There's a gov't in town in Lagos, yet the place is overun with agberos and owomida touts! Can we now infer the gov't in town is part of the scam!?

Why would a market leadership be collecting tax in ariaria market

Any where you see bottle next know corruption is breeding there strongly

What would it take to give every shop a bar code
They pay directly from the bar code link

Once tax pepole come thay just scan the bar code of every shop

A simple app can tell them who have paid and who haven't paid

All this are forms of corruption

Ariaria has more than 50,000 shops some estimate say 200,000 shops

Say we do 100,000 every shop should pay a minimum tax of 300k per year. .. That's over 30 billion from this market alone
At the end of the day the funds get looted by corrupt government officials.

Thievery knows no ethnicity

This market is supposed to be the jewel of the South East. It's supposed to have gotten a befitting facelift to make it compete with international markets.

Please, you knew nothing about this issue..ok?
Let me educate you a little that this #21,000 is being paid annually into Abia State Government account.

Gov Otti Alex, Promised the traders during campaign that he will not such levy from them, while past administration of Okezie Ikpeazu was levying them ₦18,000 annually, this short and brief man called Alex Otti added extra ₦5,000.
hopeforcharles:
. Oga it’s the market Union that is charging that not the government

Here we go again!
Do u know what 50,000 shops look like and the expanse of land it will take to occupy 50k shops?
Do you even know what 10k shops look like?
I always say Nigerians like throwing figures in the air without thought.
Even if you say there are 50,000 human traders in Ariaria I doubt. Then you are here talking of 10k,not to mention 50k shops.
Ariaria may have anywhere between 2k-3k shops at most and that's being generous.
For you to have a better understanding of how to arrive at a reasonable figure,do this:how many streets constitute Ariaria market or better put what's the total area of Ariaria market and using the smallest shop size, how many shops can fit into that area.
Stop throwing up arbitrary, exaggerated figures.

You don't know what you are talking about. Ariaria international market is grossly underrated. Ariaria will be among top 3 biggest market in Nigeria. Ariaria is bigger than main market in terms of area occupied. Ariaria is within the boundaries of Osisioma and ABA north local government. In each part of the local government, ariaria occupied a very large area of land. 50,000 shops is not overestimated. The last time okezie ikpeazu administration was chasing road side traders in ariaria about 2_4,years ago, he made it clear that ariaria was having unoccupied 5,000 shops (that's after proper enumeration) and asked road side traders to go and rent shops inside market.
