elujah1: The aura, mannerisms and actions of the two regimes are very different Tinubu hit the ground running with his inaugural speech.. the main statement of the speech was "subsidy is gone" Buharis first speech he said he is for everyone and no one (whatever that means) I get your point though About not raising hopes on politicians ,, but still TNB so far has been better that BHR 4 Likes 1 Share |

Taich: The reforms have been welcomed by investors, but unions say they led to soaring costs while inflation has been in double-digits in Nigeria since 2016, further eroding savings and incomes. The report clearly points out that there have been immediate challenges for the common man. The difference is that when you have a true understanding of economics, you don't fixate on the present in analysing the future. 4 Likes |

Damning with faint praise. "Caa" ratings are even lower than speculative grade. To be blunt, a "Caa" rated security is a junk bond. |

Most Nigerians are so gullible sa, U saw just ordinary newspaper report, U quickly begin to hail politicians that has fool u for decades with promises, den turn it to tribal fight.. my prayers is for the things to turn to good in this country, because am really feeling the effects of the hardship. but I will praise and thanks giv wen I begin to see the improved physical effects on The table, Not all this newspaper report. They said BUA cement has reduce the price, up till now, is still same old price. |
Re: Moody's Upgrades Economic Outlook On Nigeria To Positive - Reuters by Fujiyama: 8:38am On Dec 10, 2023 |
Ballmer: ^^^ Address the message. This is a thread on economics. Save the insults for threads on partisan politics. For starters, the rating is by Moody's and not Reuters. Reuters is just the reporting news agency. If you can't even get this basic fact right...then this discussion will go nowhere. The rating is a "Caa" rating. This is junk bond status. Find out what that means. Get the full Moody's report (and not Reuters), read it and only then will you be qualified to pass judgement on what's pathetic or foolish or whatever. |

spinna:Lol, is this a joke? Tinubu is better than Buhari? How please? What was dollar rate in Buharis time and what's the rate now? What about bag of rice then and now? What is the price of a flight ticket then and now? What is the cost of governance in Buharis time and what is Tinubu planning on to spend on SUVs now? You must be very blind to reality to say Tinubu is better than Buhari. Tinubus government is 50 times worse than Buhari. |

SmartyPants: Let me 1st of all thank you for responding like someone wearing his thinking cap. If you want to predict the future accurately, look at the little things that matters, such things like transparency in governance and truthfulness, because on those two premise alone, people will entrust their money on the economy. Whatever that will happen tomorrow starts today, as of today, there is nothing the government is DOING rather the government is PROMISING while living fat on the nations meagre resources. |

coleon: You don't know what you are talking about. Did you read where one of the ministers said we already got the money for some of the oil we are selling right now? What that means basically is that we mortgaged some of our future oil earnings. Tinubu didn't do that and I suspect it doesn't mean anything to you as long as you can afford rice. |
