Army Reconnaissance is poor..when they noticed that they ought to send in mobile teams to ascertain this people.. but No, they were to lazy.. and this is what u get.. the air force could spend days investigating a group b4 they drop a bomb..
If reports in social media is anything to go by, they said there were women and kids among this group, so the army if they had been right that those were bandits, would have nonetheless dropped a bomb on women and kid thereby ignoring collateral damage...or even killing hostages.. Wow.
Anyway, this is not good for the military in general, they will have to work X2 to repair this irreparable damage caused by Negligence....

I understand how severe this his and at the same time it's easy to criticize or blame such government agency ?
Don't forget the NAF has mistakingly bombed civilians/IDP in the past. Even developed nd civilized military that are involved in modern day battle fields are not innocent of this issue of hitting wrong targets.
Am not trying to justify there actions but shits happens during war.

The KADVIS (Kaduna State vigilante service) are to be blamed here, from what I heard the drone pilots mistook the KADVIS officer's as bandits because from the air you can't distinguish them, because they operate on bikes too, if only they told the military stationed in Buruku or Udawa that they are going to Tudun Biri to serve as security maybe this would have been avoided, and also note that that axis is a crossing point of bandits going from Katsina to Niger, is just lack of communication among security personnel that cause this horror.

AIR STRIKE ELIMINATES TERRORIST KINGPIN YELLOW JANBROS, OTHERS IN NIGER STATE

Air strike undertaken by the Air Component of Operation Whirl Punch on Wednesday, 6 December 2023, in Shiroro Local Government Area (LGA) of Niger State has neutralized scores of the terrorists including the dreaded terrorist and kidnap kingpin, Yellow Jambros. The terrorists met their end while attempting to cross Jikudna River in Galadima Kogo District, heading towards Wurukuvhi axis of Chikun LGA.

Prior to the strike, Yellow Jambros and his cohorts were trailed from Zamfara State into Niger State riding 13 motorcycles along the Kaduna-Niger State border, precisely heading towards Kusasu in Shiroro LGA of Niger State. At Kusasu, 5 other motorcycle-riding terrorists joined Yellow Jambros’ convoy, bringing the total number of motorcycles to 18, which then headed to the bank of River Jikudna. At the river bank, the terrorists and their 18 motorcycles boarded a large motor-powered canoe in an attempt to cross and link up with other terrorists across the river. It was at this point that the authorization to undertake a strike was given. The precision strike was adjudged effective as it neutralized Yellow Jambros and his colleagues, destroyed their motorcycles and sank the boat.

Though it was unusual for terrorists riding in a convoy of 18 motorcycles to travel in broad daylight, it was apparent that Yellow Jambros and his cohorts had assumed that air strikes were suspended following the unfortunate incident at Tudun Biri in Kaduna State and wanted to exploit the perceived window of opportunity.

Yellow Jambros and his cohort have been responsible for several kidnappings and killings along the Abuja-Kaduna Road and in several communities in Kaduna, Niger, Katsina and Zamfara States. In October 2020, a kidnapped kingpin known as Mohammed Sani, arrested by the Police in Zamfara State for murdering over 50 of his victims due to their inability to mobilize ransom claimed that he worked for Yellow Jambros, who usually supply him with fake military and police uniforms, guns and other weapons needed to execute his operation.

So far, I believe the best para mil. Camo is that of DSS... Just that where u are fighting night battle against an enemy that have NVG, then DSS camo would shine brightly advertising it self to get shot at..
For all purposes even the night fighting.. the army desert or juggle camo is sufficient.. and at night NVG can't magnify on them like they will magnify any black clothing

BTW, I await Road safety Camo

I hope we realize that all paramilitary services fall under DHQ control, as commanded by the CinC, in times of war.

All paramilitary services under interior and Customs fall into this definition.
