komekn:

Well Salah is consistently consistent since his arrival back in the EPL with Liverpool.

He has never scored less than 19 goals in the EPL in a season , he is among that very elite group of players actually just 5 including Salah have scored 200+ goals for Liverpool.

If that's not exceptional what is.❓
.

But sir, d period under review for d award of APOTY, does Osimhen deserves it or Salah. I am not particularly bothered about the rate of consistency of Salah in d EPL, after all if consistency is employed Salah too should be rated for ballon d’or abi whatever it is called.

Go watch it again! Who were those asked? Name the Egyptian/Moroccan that was asked in that snippet! Did you notify Komekn too that this is not a political section? or you seem not to see his post since you agree with him?
Joezinho:

So he was the only one asked a different question? Why were the others picking Osimhen?

I can't get the rationale behind him thinking Salah is going to win it when 80% of Africans including Egyptians knows it's btw Osimhen and Hakimi..

Trying to defend him makes it even funnier. Agenda must truly agend.

Meanwhile, this is sports section. I believe there’s a section for politics.

Baba, if believe the lie amuneke is spewing then you will believe the earth is flat. There's a video. The question was who do they want to win..

People literally picked Osimhen in that same Video.

Will be back when the AFCON list is released. I've closed for the year.

Why should you close? There are still matches to be played, UCL, EPL, LA LIGA etc

besides he is also interested In d top job after d nations cup …baba quickly change mouth

Modified….amunike side of the story is true…just confirmed from Twitter that truly,he was actually boxed btw salah and hakimi

Therein lies the problem my dear, in reality, things are seldom always equal.

There will always be gray areas and exceptions.

Jamie Vardy played In the obscurity of lower English game till his late 20s but nobody can doubt is quality today.
.

This is one reason I will like d gud master komekn to erase, sometimes the best doesn’t always win d race.

I could remember when I was at Ikolaba a particular sets of students will sweep all d award for best performance in subjects, neatness and so many others but today some of them are still in search of admission while some are into apprenticeship.

Therefore the best doesn’t always get d best.

Time and tide is a decider

Why don't you give him the benefit of the doubt and believe him. He said because he is Nigerian, he was asked to choose between Salah and Hakimi. And he chose Salah given that he has relationship with Egypt.

Why take the negative view? Is this not a perpetuation of the 'village people' mindset?

People are being shamelessly disingenuous here and the disrespect to Amunike over a clearly edited video which showed him out in a very bad spot shows we will always throw our own under the bus without proper context. The longer version of the video which Amunike replied "Salah" to was when the interviewer asked him SPECIFICALLY whom he will choose between Hakimi and Salah, the question was precisely framed that way cause Amunike has a decent clout following from his club in Egypt where he rose to stardom...Amunike is popular in Egypt (as he started his career there ) expectedly chose SALAH. Once again it's context-based, but the shorter version of the edited video was posted and Amunike was made to look like he betrayed his own countryman, much more a player he discovered and gave a chance to shine as manager.

There's even a more complete video where Amunike was interviewed before the award ceremony on whom his choice of winner was for the CAF APOY, and he unequivocally chose Osimhen as the most deserving winner for the award.

Make una dey use Ako nu che before giving a dog a bad name just to hang it. Amunike will never do Osimhen dirty like that, that's a man Osimhen looks up to and owes a lot of gratitude to for giving him the platform to show his stardom.

An italian journo asked Leo, Osimhen, Dilorenzo, Lobotska, and Maignan who is the best Seria A player last season.
All selected Osimhen except his two teammates.
I do think that is what should be trending not Amunuke's ...

Now I know why Osimhen does not acknowledge them in his speech!

Osimhen is nothing short of an enigma not just surviving such hostile environment by going on to becoming the 8th best player in the world and the best on the continent! Wow!

How does he cope? No parents, hateful media, jealous teammates etc. How?

Osimhen is not an ordinary chap. Akanda omo ni! Awon agba nikan lo maye!!

This is just the beginning for him!

Our support means a lot to him! You could see he appreciate it a lot by mentioning Nigerians many times in his speech!
Osimhen you shall never go down in Jesus name! Amen!!

One good thing about being a Nigerian is that whenever we unite to pursue an agenda, the result is always quick and positive.

Fabrizio Romano is feeling the heat already. Meanwhile, congratulations to David Ornstein.

true that but then joselu is a loan player. His performances so far has not been good enough (misses way too many chances) so I doubt he will be signed ona long contract. Endrick will be 18 and new to Europe when he makes his debut. Do you think an institution like Madrid will rely on an 18 year old to be their only striker? I think they will sign another striker. Endrick is a signing for the future. They may even loan him out so that he will gain experience before being thrown into such a huge position as the main striker in Real Madrid.

Nigerians are angry he didn't post anything about CAF awards we won yesterday. So, he is contesting for the best digital journalist award alongside some journalist but notably, David Ornstein. Since the vote is public, Nigerians have vowed not to vote for him but for David Ornstein.

Oga Kokmne, you are supporting Amuneke for expressing his mind but attacking Nigerians that voted for their choice candidates for observing their civic rights.

Pls what thieving politicians got to do with Osimhen and Salah CAF APOTY.

Yes Nigerians are disappointed with Amuneke cuz he gave Osimhen his first breakthrough so they are not expecting anything less.

Really I wasn’t disappointed cuz Amuneke is human and has every right to pick his choice,so nothing new but Nigerians will not forgive him easily.

I attacked the common culture of voting for someone not by competence but tribalism, nepotism, favouritism, etc that has destroyed our Nation over the years.

Amuneke clarified the situation that was taken out of context and used to throw aspersions on him.
