You are right but I've seen people in high places answered questions out of context.... Remember you always have your opinion, except in examination hall... He can still mention osimhen irrespective of the option given...

Omo, it seems many of you didn't read the post or you guys just lack understanding. It's like you guys have what I call, rigidity of thinking. What you have already concluded in your mind, no matter the contrary to that, you guys would still maintain your stance. The man clearly stated the context and you guys are still claiming He did what He was alleged to do. Let's even assume it's true, if Everyone votes for their country man, will Osimhen win?
I swear people dull no be small, the amunike go explain tire, I have seen people like this in real life though it can make you really mad, explaing the same thing over and over trying to convince dumb skulls.

no one says he should vote his country man, they are only asking for the rational behind picking salah ahead of osimehn.

What was salah's contribution and achievement last season to deserve it ahead of osimehn?

As if we know someone that is still wailing and groaning from the loss of the last election will bring the issue of tribalism to the topic. Typical!

But since you have mentioned tribalism, I will take the opportunity to school you.
1991 circa when Christian Chukwu was National team coach, he DID NOT vote for Austin Okocha for either the BBC or African Footballer of the year. Ask a knowledgeable elder in your family to confirm this.

Two years ago, Perpetual Nkwocha had a vote. She did not vote for Oshoala. I will not state her reason.
Two years ago, Chisom Mbonu Ezeoke had a vote as a journalist. She did not vote for Oshoala. You can ask a knowledgeable elder in your family to confirm this claim.

It is always sickening when you people see yourselves as saints concerning anything that has to do with tribalism in Nigeria and when the records are not set straight, your lies become the fact.
Who get time to read all those trash you wrote up there.

First are you Amunike or you are his advocate?

Amunike for the 3rd time showed himself as enemy of Nigeria infact I'm sure he must be ipob member and obidient member because those are the 2 group of idiots who are real enemy of anything Nigeria.

This was how Amnike nearly sink Iheanacho destiny out of jealous and greed. If not evil and wickedness why would he be jealous of Osimeh someone who is like a son to him by age gap?

This is why I don't want him as Super Eagle coach he is very dangerous guys filled with jealous on little boys success. Pls Mr Amunike advocate tell him to go and repent, drop greed, jealousy, drop ipob and obidients bitch then we will forgive him failure to do that then he should forget it.

Is it that you don't understand simple English because I am very sure the op was simple enough or you lack comprehension or you just hate the man Amunike?

What is the rules?

Anyway the award is an individual award based on the players performance and overall contribution

Osimhen won it because he helped his team Napoli won the serial A title a feat it took Maradona for Napoli to achieve ànd after 33 years Osimhen did it.

And Osimhen winning it won the highest goal scorer award the first time an African is doing it in over 100 years.

He achieved what George Weah first African Balondor winner couldn't do
Ànd what Samuel Eto'o couldn't do

In the national team, for world cup qualifiers he is the highest goals scorer with 10 goals while the second person Sadio mane have just 5 goals

Ok apart from been part of PSG trophy winning team what's Hakimi contribution. They would have still won it without him.

Ok world cup year, yes Morocco did Africa proud.
So what's exceptional contribution of Hakimi

Osimhen on Balondor was ranked 8th in the world where is Hàkimi

Park well
Well said.

What do you expect from an Igbo man?

Very useless animals…

They are naturally jealous and hateful hence their failures at everything and backwardness

Very treacherous people.

Chest-beating Cowards.

If Osimehin was an Igbo boy, the foolish wailing wailers called the Igbos wouldn’t have allowed the rest of the country to enjoy peace with their nuisances since yesterday.

Amuneke deserves all the Criticism. undecided

Though Salah scored lots of goals in 2023 and was 2nd Highest Goalscoring in the EPL behind Erling Haaland,
He didn't win any Trophy with Liverpool. sad

OSIHMEN won the Series A title + Capoconaire with Napoli. cool cool smiley

I find this difficult to believe from Amunike. It looks like damage limitation.

Yes he didnt vote, but vocally choosing Salah already gives the impression that he's against Osihmen.

In the video, the three options including Osihmen were placed on screen when Amunike responded "Salah". Also, other people in the same bus as Amunike actually responded "Osihmen" when the question was put to them so it's difficult to believe that the interviewer excluded Osihmen from the options when engaging Amunike and included him when engaging the others.

So it's either the fault of CAF's video editor or Amunike is lying.

Anyway, his choice, his life.

According to Fifa rules.

Na World Cup year.. Archimi went far than others. He should win it. Fifa with shaky rules. 😂

You lack wisdom.

Is this Fifa or CAF award?

BTW, Osihmen still beat Hakimi in Ballon D'or

We are talking of individual achievement plus contribution .

Very lame excuse.

When they asked you Hakimi or Salah , is that not deliberate and mishievous elimination of Osihmen?

If you had Osihmen in mind at all, you would have mentioned him.
