I can't do this anymore abeg e. I just lost all the money I used to invest in this crypto market. It happened first week of December when Bitcoin pumped. I was busy shorting the market. My heart was always racing like it wanted to explode. I don't know how I managed to enter the industry at such a wrong time.

I don't just know what came over me. And the money was even a loan o. Now I have to pay for 12 months from my salary and the interest is high. cry

I see people mocking somebody who just died because of 2.5 million. That's not even up to how much I lost. My heart almost failed me too. Some of you here have become so used to losing huge money that's why it does not move you. I takes years to develop that kind of big heart and not everybody can survive that lifestyle.

Yesterday, I tearfully withdrew the remaining $120 from the $1500 I enthusiastically deposited into my account in early December. Now I have decided to focus on my writing career.

This was not what I planned o. When I took that loan, I thought I would pay everything in a month and still have enough money to splash around during Christmas. Chai. I had big expectations. But I lost everything in less than a month. What a bad luck.

Crypto is not the only thing that can make somebody rich jare. It looks easy but is very hard. If not greed, why will somebody put in a particular amount and be expecting 100% profit in a few minutes or hours. This greed particularly took over me and impatience made it worse. Sometimes I would make profit but I wanted the profit to increase and then I would watch it go down again until I am losing and will then go and cancel the trade to prevent further loss. I was such a phool. I watched hundreds of dollars getting swallowed continously. And I was trading very aggressive-moving assets like 1000Bonk, 1000Lunc and Matic which even made the loss faster with their rapid movements. I started to feel the market was particularly against me. I felt somebody was looking at me and just directing the nets to catch me. I started looking at everything with suspicion.

I was angry with everybody. I was angry with myself, my family, I was even angry with God for what I did to myself o. I just ask God for forgiveness. It affected my relationship and career so much. I almost resigned o because I thought I would be rich soon. That would have keeled me.

I wish we could rewind time so I can undo this financial hole I just put myself.

I still bear a grudge for this crypto market and I believe one day I will come back to take back all my money it has swallowed. Or not cry

Buying with a lot of money now is very risky, because there is a good chance of bitcoin losing its value by january and febuary

You should have waited till next year tho.

Sorry for your lost sir.

So sorry for your loss bro, sometimes you have to learn by loosing not to loose again. Take heart and try to take a break from crypto for now. Secondly being angry with everybody won't bring your money back. Learn from this experience and clear your head from your losses at the end of the day you will be fine. All the best

I understand your pain. I've been there, but now, I can smile. And I have a target.

One of the ways to quickly turn your margin to dust is not understanding the market.

Secondly, I mentioned earlier on this thread, know your strength. I've made some of the mistakes you mentioned here.

That's why I quickly sought help. They say follow person wey no road. And I did, which reduced my losses significantly and increased my profits. It's not good to deceive oneself. When you realise this is not working, then it isn't. Since I knew I didn't understand it, I quickly throw hand up. Now, I do small small.

Third is, the market takes from the impatient and gives to the patient.

I was once -$60 down on a $150 portfolio on a coin, futures. It felt like deja vu. I could have closed it, but I said, let me just watch what will happen. I will wait it out. After all, I've seen people with - $200k PNL, and after some weeks after, it turned positive. Now, that same coin is on +$80. Yea, I had a bit of a slightly bad entry, but I waited. In some cases (not all cases), all some of you needed to do is wait to break even or stay in small profits and close.

I still make some small, silly mistakes, which have affected my portfolio but I learn from it until I reach full awareness. Based on the above, I only recommend it on coins with strong fundamentals.

Also, one mistakes we noobs make is venturing into futures. Spot is bad enough, now you want to navigate the stormy realm of futures. Yes, you can increase your earnings with it faster, or send yourself back to the village in a jiffy too. Treat futures like spot, and you won't have much problem (whoever reads, let him understand this part).

You said you short the market, don't work against the trend. Yes, there will be pull backs here and there, but we are in a pre-bull season. I short Sats last week and within minutes, +$40...instead of me to take profit and close, I waited. Later, it turned to - 40. I was pained. What did I do wrong, waiting for it to reach my target instead of doing scalps. Standing in front a speedy train. Even though I got the bearish signal right, I was still wrong in application.

Like I said in some of my posts, HOLDers make the most money, not traders. That we are entering the bull market doesn't mean you still won't lose if you don't awaken your consciousness to what is making you lose.

You may gain massive profits in the bull market and watch it disappear because you don't have your exit and never looking back strategy.

About HOLDers, even a noob will become profitable because a broken clock is twice right a day. Just following the principles of monthly low, yearly low, monthly high, yearly high can make people profits. But the issue is not understanding the principles but WAITING (PATIENCE) . That's the key.

If we approach crypto with the idea of stocks, we will get rich. But if we approach it with the idea of MMM, we are all going back to the village.

I have bought some coins now and set it ATH and forgot about it. The email notification will wake me up.

I'll reiterate again, follow person wey know road, not person wey dey act as if say e know road. This is to cut short your journey.

I did not even lose up to you before I sought help. I was a holder before I ventured into trading. Perhaps I should have stayed that way. But God knows our path.

Sorry for the epistles guys, just to clear things up and give words of encouragement. Even me cried during my time, but now, I know as I ought to know. I leverage on other people's wisdom and some of mine.

If no be greed why you go open eye dey do crypto futures.

I started crypto in 2019, never did futures any day so far, including the bear market where I lost over 3M, I would say I have not lost in crypto.

I won't lie, I did futures once with $BCH in 2021. It ended in tears.....

Crypto I not a quick rich scheme, hodlers ROI is always greater than that of future traders in long term.

For example, 2 weeks ago I bought $SUIP, made 10X and booked profits plus capital. Leaving just a baby bag till after bitcoin halving bull run.

Patience is key....

Crypto no be sportybet. If you are not ready for long term, avoid at all cost.

My own 2 cents on losing money and money management.

A legend recently mentioned how he trades with 50 exchanges and how he manages to store all their passwords.

A much easier way will be to use sub accounts. One of the reasons I finally moved from binance to Bybit. The other reason was regular network time outs.

Instead of trading on 50 exchanges, you can have as many sub accounts as you want on 1 exchange and switch between them with fingerprint login.

Divide your capital into each subaccount and trade 1 at a time or as your strategy allows. Move to the next when you blow one with the wisdom from your last trades.

You can short in 1 and long in another. You can long in 1 and when liquidated, re-enter in the second with a better strategy.

You can use some for spot trading, some for futures, some for hodling, some for copy Trading.

Possibilities are endless with hedge mode and unified trading on each sub account.

Sub accounts are available on other exchanges too like mexc.

Best strategy, research 10 solid Gems below 50M marketcap

Spread equal amounts on each.

Once you have 3X on any coin, book capital and ride the rest. Another 2X book profits and keep riding while booking profits from time to time.

Avoid memes if your capital is low.

If you in person doesn't have 500 USD, you personalize it yourself. People are here who have more than 1,2 BTC. You don't expect them to be making noise and showing their portfolio.

I'm more surprised that someone lost his life because of he gambled 2.5m

Where the money came from is not necessary now just like our brother here who lost 1.4usd but the bottom line is most people here I still repeat most people here are trading with such fund.

Everyone is not poor here! You hear 2.5m you said lamba! Better hustle more so you won't think everyone no get 500usd like you.

I responded to your post because the post you quoted was a response to my comment.

The problem with most of you is stubbornness and you love to listen to people filled with Jargons…

Go and invest in the base block chain and have peace of mind..

It’s trading Mkt cap is still below $1b usd, it doesn’t have its own crypto that will suck up the whole capital like most block chains..

Base chain market cap must go above $1 usd, it may even get to $150 b. Imagine how much you will make if you are wise and invest early…

If you invest now you will make money in next years bull run..

The best option is to wait till next year when this bull run is over and invest… After BTC fork.

Buy the dip and hold…

Forget them $SOL and co…They are over priced..

Don’t also forget $CORE block chain..

U can buy next year, after the BTC fork.

Crypto babies think is by plenty talks and reposting Twitter feeds..

From the coins you dabbled into, it seems you’re a novice just like me 3yrs ago. I lost $4k then when the exchange rate was still #400 to a dollar buying shit coins, overleveraging on futures & not understanding when to go long or short on btc

What caused your loss is simply ignorance about the market. No one is against you. The market will always take advantage of ignorant traders.

I usually marvel at people that say TA isn’t important in crypto. After 2021, I took time to learn and keep learning TA, followed cryptocrewuniversity on YouTube & kept tabs on crypto and business news.

There’s no free money anywhere. You must as a matter of necessity put in the required work to get any returns. Crypto is more of TA than FA take it or leave it.

3yrs after, I have recovered all my lost capital and still waiting to make profits. While some are complaining, some are smiling because they have taken time to understand how the market works.

I hope you get back up and learn so that you can still recover and partake in the coming bull market.

I hope this helps you and other novices.

I remember that year when I read that news...I told those who care to hear that the info was very exaggerated and false...okay let me speak for UBA bank as a former staff there ...we have more than 35 million customers and I can confidently tell you as a cashier for several years with them that more than 40% of their customers have up to 500k in their bank account ....meaning up to ten million customers have up to 500k in their bank accounts.....

So what is the Nigerian population ?? If they are saying about 20% of the population are the only ones that have up to 500k in their account that means they are telling us that Nigerians that have up to 500k in their account are not up to 25million......That can't be true if ordinary uba have millions of customers with more than 500k in their bank account, a simple database records will display the average amount on bank accounts....what about customers of other banks too ?? Abi it is only UBA that have Nigerians who have money in their bank accounts ??

The point is , yeah there is poverty in the country but the news of only 20% having 500k in their bank account is false and exaggerated.

Coinsoto has branded. The new name is Coinank.com.

I'm not comfortable updating the app because I don't know if it has monthly pricetag now. I hate all these monthly payment apps.
I have updated, no price tag yet. What amazing app! Thanks so much for sharing with us
