You just did biometrics day before yesterday and you know dey will check your bank to know how much is there. My reverse ask is now, "So when in particular do you envisage dey will be confirming with your bank that you will want to be removing the POF?"

With current exchange rates you don't need more than 1.5 million as a spending budget in your application to work your trip.😉

But it is your personal financial circumstance that will make or mar your application.

Your lavish spending should not be upto 3 times your disposable income

Is 1.5m not small? If one plans to use hotel, say for a 7 day stay.

Depends on the exchange rate when you submit application

Good day folks, does anyone here know the process of transferring a UK visa from old passport to a new passport, and can one do it here in Nigeria
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Opeyemi007: 12:33pm On Dec 15, 2023
Not sure you need to transfer cos your old passport number should be on your new one.

1.5m is indeed quite small. The current Oanda GBP exchange rate is 1013. Flight tickets alone are almost 1 million. So, 1.5million is minimal.

This is the budget guide I advise all my friends and family to use and everyone has been successful:

Flight- £1064
Accommodation- £50/Day (unless you’re staying with a friend)
Food- £20/day
Transport- £10-15/day

Optional
Shopping- Variable
Entertainment- Variable

Then use the Oanda exchange rate to get the naira equivalent.

I personally advise that you try to ensure that the available balance in your account is 2X the budget for the trip. Because they expect that you have funds to go back to when you get back home. So, you can use your available balance to work backwards to see the budget you have available for the trip and therefore the number of days you can afford to stay.

If you didn't receive any email containing a refusal letter, I'm 98% sure that the visa had been approved!
Celebrate in advance. Follow the instructions in the email and collect your passport.

Did biometrics on 22nd in Phc and I can see on tls website the passport has been transferred to VAC.

Should I be worried?

Do they send an email when rejected?

I had been denied in 2019 but I currently have a current Australian visa

My people! How far? Long time, no speak!!! Reading up on the past few pages and it’s like people no dey come back to the oracle to give visa alert report like before.

All my guys applied for renewal back in September and got their visas within a week. What’s average processing time now for first timers and renewers?

One love!
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Baba19: 9:51pm On Dec 15, 2023
Amelia the oracle!!! Thank you sis. You still dey this market 😂😂😂😂

Nah your guidance and format I use that 2021 whey they give us visa after delaying us for more than 50 working days. Chai!!!

I used that visa twice that time. First time for one week and from London, I ja go Bahamas and then I returned again for another week and commot. I’m back for renewal now and hoping for the best.

That time, I had been to 14 countries. I’ve gone to more now. It’s now 21 so my travel history stand well. Business is still going well. I added all my documents- my previous visas, personal and business statements, savings statement which my wife keeps, documents for the home we own etc.

My downsides:
money for account no too dey.
Secondly, remember in the first application I made the mistake of thinking visa refusal question was about the last 10 years so I only declared cyprus refusal and didn’t declare the UK. but this time it is clear and I put the first and only Uk visa refusal I got there which is 17 years old. You can check my former posts as a reminder.

Abeg, advise a brother!

Good evening everyone, I trust your day all went fine. I beg to be guided in a UK employment offer. After a zoom interview two weeks back, a pre-employment contract offer came for me to acknowledge and proceed for international document validation. I have been referred to "Validate Systems Ltd" to carry out this validation by the company.
Looking at the validation site, i am a bit skeptical about it so I want to ask of this is how the process works and of anyone has heard about Validate Systems Ltd.
Thank you!

No wahala, bro. We’re all here to help each other. I have a U.S. Visa so that’s what I used to enter Bahamas, Mexico, Jamaica and other Caribbean countries. But for Barbados, I didn’t need any visa at all. With UK visa, I believe you can enter Mexico freely as well.

Visa came out on the 13th where?
Did you do a super priority visa application?

Your application on the tracker is at what stage?

Oh ok. I got a five years US too, I’ll use it. Emailed tourism@bahamas.com yesterday to confirm I could use it. Thanks for letting me know. Mexico has stopped entry by UK visa btw. My friend couldn’t use hers this year, and had to get the visa at embassy here in Lagos.

It be like person don scam you.

UkVI will never send you an affirmation that your visa is granted and especially because it's not been upto 4 days since you did the biometrics.

But then who knows🤷 you just might have benefitted from a super priority deal without even knowing.

As I am certain you are not the one that submitted your application yourself since you don't know what a tracker is, why not go and ask your agent whatsup

Okay, I did the whole process with a friend. He already travelled, so we did it together. He was in charge of the application and submission but I made the payments for the visa, Ihs, and to tls. I got all the mail confirmations.

Did the Biometrics on the 12th
TLS sent me this mail yesterday morning: "Your travel document (and supporting documents, if applicable) are now ready for collection at the TLScontact Visa Application Centre, Lagos, Ikeja. Please carefully read the below instructions to retrieve your documents."

Everybody I showed told me that it means that my visa has been approved and I even asked questions about it on here yesterday.

this morning, I got a BRP decision letter from UKVI via my mail that my UK VISA application has been successful, the letter was even dated the 13th of December, the second day after my biometrics.

It's really super fast, I didn't pay for any priority or premium. I've already spent over 1200 pounds on IHS so I no really too get spare to change and I was willing to wait till next year since I have a whole lot of things left to do.

I still dey stare at the letter since but I dey go pick my passport on Monday sha
