Alot of students are getting stranded truly. Economy no dey smile. In the comments section too alot of students too can’t get jobs. If you don’t have enough money abeg abort mission for now.

When choosing a course or school, it's crucial to check tuition fees for affordability and confirm if the course offers a PGWP after completion. Whether applying for a student visa inside or outside Canada on a 5, 3, 10, or 20-year visitor visa doesn't significantly impact the process. A medical test which is cheaper in nigeria compare to inside canada, proof of funds (increasing from $10,000 to $20,635 CAD from Jan 1), and a strong Statement of Purpose (SOP) are still required. Applying inside or outside Canada doesn't guarantee approval or denial. Admission processes take time , so it better to start applying to schools even before u enter canada on visitor visa. Note: that you are not converting your visitor visa to a student visa; you are applying for a student visa, which is a different category of visa and you have to meet the requirement.

Wow. You must be a strong willed person to do it when it was almost winter. Done some stretch of that road late summer and it was blissful.

The best part of that drive is the Northern Ontario end and BC Mountains. It's fun but also crazily scary especially at dusk and dawn with all those crazy Moose in Northern Ontario and the windy, steep and curvy roads. Hundreds of beautiful lakes around these area.

Sas,MB and Alberta are just wastelands. You would almost sleep off on the steering wheel once you enter Manitoba. Just straight road with nothing left and right.

Your best bet to capture videos would have been Dashcams. Well done. Not easy. 5km in 3 days is crazy.

Thanks man! You described the route exactly as it is, no doubts you're familiar with the road. I thought the Northern Ontario end was dangerous until I left Banff, Alberta and entered BC. I was actually scared at some point, the roads were so dangerous, curvy and slopy that there are tens of brake checks for trucks/trailers on the route to check and certify their brakes okay before they attempt to ascend/descend each slope.

As far as beautiful lakes are concerned, I give it up to Northern Ontario, I lost count and it became normal as I pass through each lake. On a side note, the number of lakes in Canada alone (thousands) is more than the rest of the world combined. I didn't see a Moose throughout the trip but I saw Deers, Elk, Wolves and a Bear (we were like 20 feet away from each other, in the midnight around 3a.m - my mind cut 😂)

Like you said, the Prairies are just plain lands, I did cruise control mostly on this part and i enjoyed the view of the frozen lakes left and right. Thanks to an Albertan woman too, she was speeding, so we sped together from Sask until we parted at Med Hat. I covered a lot of distance faster cuz of her.

Interesting, what type of vehicle? Highest speed? Single or you had company? How was the traffic? Did you have any mechanical fault?

Hyundai SUV. The routes have different speed limits, it's mostly 90km/h in Northern Ontario; did 90-110km there depending on the traffic/road condition. On the Prairies, it was 100-120km but I did 120-140km. My highest speed was 150km/h at night in different locations.

I passed through the Trans Canada Highway so no traffic apart from Winnipeg, Calgary, Vancouver and some construction zones too around Ontario/Manitoba border. No mechanical faults at all, My car coolant level didn't even drop 1cm not to talk of mech fault. Btw, I camped in the car throughout the trip (sunny, rainy and snowy) converted the back/trunk into a bed and used my duvet 😁

There is no information about my kids as regards PR card.
I WANT TO ASK IF THEY WOULD BE GIVEN A PR CARD TOO OR NOT?

Thanks a lot man! I heard exactly the same about the US freeways but I intentionally avoided going through US cuz I feel it isn't as safe as Canada. I'm so confident to safely navigate anywhere in Canada (even the reserves) but I can't say the same about US, especially with the fact that I wasn't planning to lodge in the hotel, I was sleeping in the car at campsites with RV travellers and truck drivers. On the return trip, might consider it since I won't be in a rush and would lodge.

Yeah, Manitoba to BC is dualized so higher limit with more lanes. But at the far end of Vancouver, I drove my car into a ferry that transported me to the island I am on right now, then the TCH continued there and turned back to a single lane with 90km/hr. No problem! Thanks

If you feel up to it, then definitely pick up Tech. Data analysis is a good one. Make sure you are up to it though. Preferably get an advanced degree and do good projects to put on GitHub. Try to distinguish yourself. Opportunities abound in tech in Canada or even remotely in other countries like the US and some in Europe. You just need to get your skills and shoot your CV wide.

However, if you are a good pharmacy assistant and you enjoy that work, then by all means stay there. The difference between Nigeria and Canada here, is that you can actually work as a real pharmacy assistant, if you know what I mean. Your experience as a customer care person may also help you start out in Canada, because there are a lot of customer care Jobs for new immigrants.

Same here. I got my FG job when I was still a PR. Did my clearance with no issues as a Nigerian though it took about 4 months.

Don’t let anyone discourage you please. I am a PR, I I haven’t been in Canada for up to 3 years and I’ve been working with the FG for over 2 years. When it was time for security clearance, I didn’t have to do anything other than fill a form. It took about 2 months for my clearance to be issued, it wasn’t a big deal at all.

Irrespective of what you do, get the PMP since you already have plans for it. Projects exist in every field and a PMP is relevant in any profession, it all depends on how you want to apply it.
