This is undemocratic, the constitution and the law must be followed. It's only the law courts that can rule on the matter. This kind of democracy we practice would consume us all.

I think it's high time federal government stop interfering in state matter/issues. Fubara shouldn't accept the useless resolutions. Democracy is long gone under this Tinubu I miss buhari sha.

Political analysts,. social media jingoists and TV station commentators especially those from Rivers State should keep their mouth shut and let peace reign in that state.

Some are asking why the President should intervene. Same people that will criticize the President for staying aloof.

Fubara should not allow himself to be misled.

The judiciary has finished rubbishing themselves already, so Mr Pres is now the final mediator. There would've been no discussions or arguments at that meeting, just instructions to both. If you like take if you like nor take, Excellency don talk finish! Fubara was still a civil servant little over a year ago, he knows how to take orders, so I'd bet he'll take it! A real politician though would smile, nod his head at everything said to him, and never put pen to an agreement concocted by two members of a gang he doesn't belong to! grin

When yesterday.. commissioner for information in Rivers state confirmed it..that Sim was there and hole signed it.

The questions remain:
How will it work?
Does this so called “directive” supercede the constitution? As it stands, Edison Ehie is recognized as the speaker.
Publicly 27 members decamped to APC from PDP and by that have lost their seats.
How has the name of Amewhule returned, when he has lost his seat by law?
What will happen to the commissioners who of their own volition resigned?
So the 5 men who are recognized should suddenly give up their positions just like that?
INEC should simply tear the notice of vacant seats from the house or ignore it?
The budget has been signed. How can it be presented again?
The commissioners who resigned should just get back to their offices without screening again?

Please these are the issues. Is it not that this so called directive is set to further cause problems in the state? Is it so simple as that to withdraw the cases from court?
What if PDP at the national level insist that the 27 are no longer with them?

Maybe we should keep watching events as they unfold.

By the way, thank God that all went well with Nairaland and they can keep growing.

What some novice don't understand in this peace pact is that, Fubara, Wike and everyone concerned are all moving to the APC inevitably. It's so clear now. If you're still looking at Fubara as a PDP governor, then you're a novice in this game.
