Here's an advise to y'all start your business while working for someone, unfortunately the labor law of Nigeria is non-existent. Start no matter how small, Rome was not built in a day. Go to Sango Ota, Nassarawa & Ondo and see the modern day slave trade and the government of these states boast of being the industrial state of Nigeria. Indians, Lebanese, Chinese and some Nigerian have turned Nigerians to semi machine, you need to see these factory workers and you would weep. Some of the chemicals used are hazardous, no protective gears, some factory workers work with bare foot and hands, a few with slip as a result of the slippery floor and break a leg, an arm or even have internal bleeding as a result of the fall. It's disheartening to see many at them at gate of these factories as early as 7:00am hoping to be picked for a job so as to fend for their family. Daily pay is less than a $1 and any mistake or latenesses you will never get your full pay, at the end of the day most factory workers resort to stealing from their employers. I recall few years ago, a member of armed force begging a Chinese man that once he opens his factory he would appreciate if he could talk to his superior to allow him work with the man as an escort. The truth is, these Chinese, indians and Lebanese understand our system and how corrupt our system is. Explain to me how an Indian man would slap a police officer 2 Likes |

For me I left my paid employment in October this year because my supervisor and manager required me to work beyond 5pm. They both set me up with a horrible task and I simply walked away. Now I trade coins on Stormgain and also do digital marketing. I have no single regret leaving the toxic environment I worked. I am also free from endless transportation price hike and traffic. I sleep and wake up anytime I choose, I visit any event that interests me anytime I want to. All I need to make money is my phone and the Internet. No one should stay in employment anywhere VI, if you earn less that 200k except your house is close to your office (VI and Lekki) and you have the hope of salary increase. 2 Likes |

kelvine:Unfortunately, the jobs that pay most times are on the island 🏝️ although a few ones on them mainland though 2. The truth is many people are doing 100k per month and going from Agege, Egbeda, Ikotun and even Ikorodu to island 🏝️ everyday 3. There are a thousand and one person that would take up that job you rejected in Lagos, trust me on that |

SavageResponse:I am always surprised as to how most of you comment on NL. I have a business although a small business I wouldn't do what my boss is currently doing to the staff. You don't wear the shoe, so you don't know where it pinches. |
