So I been wondering about how scanty the cities has become and how many people are returning home for the Christmas holidays


I begin to wonder if the proposed 50% discount as initially announced by FG has actually come through


Please has anyone benefited from it?

This is a nice idea. Let's get first-hand info on the program. The advantage Nairaland has over the newspapers is that here we can get raw first-hand info. Let's know how much FG lived true to its promise, or if they just deceived us.

Federal government workers have not receive December salaries.So only few people travelled.
Also did Tinubu reduced fuel price or he subsidise petrol to cushion the high cost of transport?
Even the palliatives have not been fully implemented.Only few people who are Tinubu s backers have received peanuts

So the government role out a palliative program for transport to cut down 50percent of the cost.

What system did they put to check?
Why implementing this close to Christmas?
They didn’t disburse funds to the company contacted.
How did they come about the data?
Why was Lagos having much of the routes?
Instead of the busy fare why not fuel for just 1month.

Yes, I have someone that came home for the Xmas from sokoto state to Onitsha on Saturday, They were charged #40,700 by ifeanyichukwu transport. After payment they were refunded #15,000 and told that it is the TINUBU subsidy.

For the train, it's a yes too cos I saw a trending video of passengers complaining of overloaded train cos of the free fare. Some said that TINUBU should have left them to pay so that they can travel comfortably.

Good one by the govt. But salary wise thumbs down for them.

Reducing the price of transportation by 50% is not realistic but reducing the price of fuel by 50% is realistic.
