LAGOS became a crown colony in 1861, and became the centre of western inroad to Nigeria. After amalgamation in 1914, LAGOS continued to be the centre of administration for colonial masters till independence in 1960. Afterwards, it continued to enjoy the privilege of being the FCT upon till 1992 when the seat of power was moved to Abuja. No state will enjoy such advantage and not be far developed than others.
