Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the immediate-past governor of Ekiti State and Chairman of the Nigerian Governors (NGF), has expressed profound grief over the passing of His Excellency, Rotimi Akerodolu (SAN), the Governor of Ondo State.

Fayemi described the late Akeredolu as a nationalist and statesman whose death was a great loss to the country and especially the people of Ondo State.

In a message by the head of the Fayemi Media Centre, Mallam Ahmad Sajoh, Fayemi described the late Akeredolu as a true friend and brother with whom he collaborated over the years, in and out of government, on several national causes, to make life better for the ordinary people.

He recalled many instances when the late governor intervened fearlessly on critical national issues and consistently stood on the side of equity, fairness, and justice.

‘’As a lawyer, NBA President, and Governor, he was an unwavering champion of the oppressed and a defender of the common man,” Fayemi said. ‘’He was deeply devoted to the ideals of equity and fairness, which motivated his outspokenness in national affairs. Although frank and courageous in expressing his views, his opinions were always grounded in the pursuit of truth, justice, good governance, and national unity.

‘’He was an outstanding governor who implemented wide-ranging infrastructural and socio-economic programs that have transformed the development of Ondo State. He has undoubtedly left indelible footprints on the sands of time as far as the state is concerned

‘’His passing grieves me deeply but I draw consolation from the fact that his was a memorable life in the service of his people. My wife and I convey our heartfelt condolences to his family, the people of Ondo State, and indeed all Nigerians on the loss of this great man.

“I pray that his soul rest in peace.”

Signed
Mallam Ahmad Sajoh,
Head, Fayemi Media Centre, Abuja

NADECO, heroes of Democracy

Believe and fight for a cause in your youthfulness

Wether APC, PDP, LP, or anything you deem fit an ideology .. define your own ideology of governance and don't follow bandwagon

To Yorubas He was Afenifere

To Lawyers, he was an extraordinary NBA Chairman and activist

To Progressive Family, he was one of the best and fearless as opposition

To Amotekun Corp, he stood gallantly

To Igbos from Imo State he was their in law

May his soul rest in peace 🙏
Sincerely wish that politicians will learn that this world is not actually our home.
It is a market, we buy and sell then go home. We came from dust and will surely return to dust. How much effort we have put in to positively affect humanity is what will count when we have gone to be with our maker.

Typical African Mentality. An African loves one the most when the person transitions to the other side of the world. Where the fmr Governor is now, he would be reminiscing on how he would have done the best in this world instead of amassing so much wealth. Death awaits us all, and at a time we do not know. Let's try and be good to people in our little capacity.

Rest in peace, Comrade!

Good evening everyone,

Compliments of the season.

I find myself in a significant predicament and sincerely hope you can empathize. I'm Ade, married with two children – a 2-year-old daughter and a 3-week-old baby boy. Currently, we are without a home, which is deeply disheartening.

Despite holding Bachelor's degrees, both my wife and I are struggling to secure employment, leaving us unable to afford our living space. Unfortunately, our families are unable to assist due to their own challenges.

Understanding life's challenges, we believe in the generosity of kind-hearted individuals who may have a temporary home to spare for a family in need. We're seeking assistance until we can regain our independence.

Our aspirations are modest – to find employment and create a happy home for our children, sparing them the hardship of homelessness. Any support, be it Accomodation or job information, would bring immense joy and change our lives for the better.

While currently in Lagos, we're open to relocating to another state that aligns with our job search and ensures safety for our young family.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We remain hopeful and look forward to a positive response.
