It’s a holiday that’s all.

Let's not involve Jesus abeg cos that’s another discussion on it own and Jesus wasn’t born on the 25th of December instead it’s white peoples pagan celebration date. Like I said before, that na another topic for another day.

White People pagan celebration, is Jesus a black man, or a white man...White men tell you when they want celebrate their brother and you dey claim you sabi pass them.

What is chasing you guys from your region? Empty and misguided chest beating. Charity begins at home.

It’s not about Igbo
All over the world even in the US businesses are closed
Stop overhyping issues. People travel to be with their families at Christmas all over the world including Muslims

Stop this your gutter theory,Ibo's are the backbone of economic activities in nearly all major cities in Nigeria and beyond.

If they close shop, the economy of that place is at a stand still.

I was in Abidjan when Obasanjo visited as a president then, all Igbos close shop to welcome him,do yo know that the whole city was in disarray that day.
Yes, Igbos are the secret ingredient behind the prosperity of Stockholm, Vienna, Zurich, Sydney, Seoul and Tokyo. Without the Igbo presence, Beijing, Atlanta and Sao Paolo would all fall into ruin, while Tel Aviv and Shanghai would lie desolate! They must be special magical beings whose mere presence in a city is what determines the course of its economy - one wonders how cities anywhere in the world managed to thrive in the 5,000 years between the founding of Uruk in Mesopotamia and Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther's writing of the first Igbo book in 1857 ...

So Saudis are observing pagan holiday ryt

Christmas is not a public holiday in Saudi Arabi. What other Saudis are you talking about? Even though there are Arab Christian’s and expats in Saudi, it does not recognize it as a public holiday.

We are still on Lagos matter. How we take reach Saudi.

Yes, they are the one and only developers of this world, everywhere was a slum until they arrived and made places like Okoko, Alaba-rago, Ladipo a mini Tokyo.

I bet you if ibos leave Lagos, in 48hours all the shops will be taken over. When Ghanaians left in '83, ibos and minority tribes from SS migrated to Lagos and took over the shops. Ghanaians were selling almost everything and making money yet they never said they developed Lagos. I challenge ibos that have gone back home for holidays never to come back and let's see who would survive without who.

This sums it all up.

For emphasis. He said
"I challenge ibos that have gone back home for holidays never to come back and let's see who would survive without who.

I fully support this.

By the way

Igbos have been saying Nigeria will not allow them go but this is an opportunity they have been allowed to go home for Christmas.....they should remain there since ALL THEY WANT IS THEIR OWN COUNTRY....

Are there economic activities in those places?

Funny enough the greatest wish of Igbo people is to see the fall of Lagos.why can't they make it happen since they claim to have the key.

I have never seen people soo grandiosely deluded

What a lot of rubbish! London, Paris and Berlin also turn into ghost towns over the exact same period. Is that because all their Igbos went home as well? Or is it due to the simple reason that all businesses and commercial operations shut up shop over the Christmas period, and people take the time to meet with their friends and relatives?

The constant attempt to push this ridiculous narrative about Lagos being "dead" without Igbos smacks of a gigantic inferiority complex. The city would still look "dead" over Christmas even if not a single Igbo left town for the holidays - why would anyone be out on the streets with all shops and offices shut?

IGBO AND GRANDIOSE DELUSION

They even always make non-yoruba and Non-Igbo in lagos look like nonentity with their rants, noise and boasting

Thank God chagouray the owner of eko Atlantic city,Dangote the owner of the refinery which is the biggest investment in lagos and tolarem the owner of lekki deep sea ports are not IGBO..

Be it winter or summer o, any general holidays where all jobs observe it always leave the streets empty. It is just comot sense that nobody’s commuting to work but instead relaxing with their family.

It is only an unexposed naive person that will jump to the conclusion that the streets are empty because of their tribe. Very dumb comment.
Not Naive but GRANDIOSELY DELUDED PERSON!

At independence,IBADAN was the greatest Nigerian city courtesy IGBO PEOPLE.

During the commissioning of University of Ibadan, thr white man running commentary even called Ibadan the greatest city in sub-saharan Africa. He was like "Ibadan, the greatest city in sub-saharan Africa now owns a university ".

First TV station
First skyscraper
First teaching university
First secondary school
First modern stadium
First university

YORUBAS OWES EVERYTHING TO IGBO PEOPLE

It's very insultive and absurd for a tribe that couldn't build a single city as big as Ibadan at independence to lay claim to building one post independence for another tribe

God bless you!

My city here in the US was a ghost town on Xmas day, I wonder if the Igbos also left here for their villages too.

These people can be so naive … their brain is fixated on proving nonsensical claims and must be tribal related.

Boya make them move their businesses over there and stay back. So Lagos can “suffer” without them.

Each place has what makes it dry during Xmas. This is about Lagos .
Yoruba businesses should keep Lagos lively nah
