Pls hous How does usa election affects USD ?
Cc : davigle

Sorry for the late response bossmi, although I must confess I'm not super versed fundamentally as I am still studying it, but here's what I got when I asked chatgpt;

The U.S. election can influence the value of the U.S. dollar based on market expectations regarding economic policies. For example, if the election outcome is perceived as favorable for economic stability and growth, it may strengthen the U.S. dollar as investors gain confidence. Conversely, uncertainty or concerns about economic policies can lead to a weaker dollar. Overall, the relationship between elections and the U.S. dollar is complex and depends on various factors, including fiscal and monetary policies.
Imagine the U.S. dollar is like a superhero in the financial world. When people in the United States vote for their leaders, it's like choosing the leaders of the superhero team. If the chosen leaders are seen as smart and capable, it makes everyone feel more confident about the superhero team's abilities. When people are confident, they want to use the U.S. dollar more, so its value goes up. On the other hand, if there's uncertainty or if people worry that the superhero team may not work well together, they might not trust the U.S. dollar as much, and its value could go down.

So, in simple terms, the U.S. election can affect the U.S. dollar by influencing how much people trust and believe in it based on the leaders they choose.

And here's what I also got from bard, it gave a much better explanation than chatgpt;
The US election can have a complex and dynamic impact on the US dollar, influenced by various factors like:

**Pre-election uncertainty:**

* In the lead-up to the election, heightened uncertainty about the potential outcome and policy changes under each candidate can lead to market volatility and potentially weaken the dollar.

**Policy changes:**

* The elected candidate's economic and fiscal policies play a significant role. Historically, Democratic presidents tend to implement policies like increased spending and regulations, which can weaken the dollar in the short term but lead to long-term stability and growth. Republican presidents often pursue tax cuts and deregulation, which can initially strengthen the dollar but potentially contribute to increased debt and inflation in the long run.

**Trade and foreign relations:**

* The elected president's stance on trade agreements and foreign relations can also impact the dollar. Protectionist policies or trade tensions can weaken the dollar, while a strong US position in international affairs can contribute to its strength.

**Market expectations:**

* Ultimately, the biggest impact on the dollar comes from market expectations. Investors analyze the potential economic and political implications of each candidate's victory and adjust their positions accordingly. This can cause the dollar to strengthen or weaken even before the actual election results are known.

It's important to remember that these are just general trends, and the specific impact of any US election on the dollar depends on numerous factors and can be unpredictable.

Here are some additional points to consider:

* Recent research suggests that the US dollar has historically **appreciated during Democratic presidencies** and **depreciated during Republican presidencies** (especially against major currencies like the Euro). However, this is not a guarantee and does not always hold true.
* The **long-term impact** of the election on the dollar is often more significant than the short-term fluctuations.
* Other global economic factors and events can also influence the dollar's performance, making it difficult to isolate the exact impact of the US election.

and then lastly from my personal research, I find out that if Donald trump wins the US election in 2024, the dollar is going to pump up really hard and if you remember when trump was the POTUS, the financial markets did really well, as the US economy was sort of health. I personally am rooting for Donald trump to win as the market conditions underning his tenure would be really interesting. hope you find it helpful...

I don't think there is any special stuff to do as new user...just that they said they are adding more servers to take care of volume of traders buying that $1 challenge.

They will update traders on their twitter handle by tomorrow Sunday.

Hey guys back to business as usual, if you are short any xxxusd pairs, I'd suggest you close your trade, economic data (red folder event) coming out of the US came out bearish for the dollar and the dollar is going to continue dumping, like I said last night that we are going to see a continuation of the yesterday's sell off, US30 may likely breach 37800 level, and gold about to continue pumping,

cc: kozmicity

Luckily for me I didn't get skinned. Got out at almost BE, gave all my profits to the market. I need to implement trailing stops in my strategy.
