The source of the funds is our treasury, that's why they keep wasting funds. Poor country taking more delegates, while rich countries took less. How many of the delegates have ever spoken about climate change issues before the conference? After wasting funds, they will start looking from where to borrow. 22 Likes 1 Share |

It doesn't matter which Party ... the politicians are all the same ... self interest only ... how what they do affect the citizens or the country doesn't matter. I strongly believe the only way forward is a military coup ... lead by someone who really cares about the development of the country ... we need a Jerry Rawlings. Ghana was experiencing this same level of corruption when Jerry Rawlings lead a coup ... rounded up the corrupt ones ... imprisoned and executed quite a few and set the country on course. The ones put in charge soon became corrupt ... he lead a second coup ... and did same ... imprisonment and execution was served without favour. That's when those in the position if power began to do the right thing. This approach is the only solution I believe can put these politicians in check. 2 Likes 1 Share |

The government has been spending a lot of money on COP attendance for so many years, not just this year. Nigeria’s delegation is always huge, which is very unnecessary in my view because there is not a lot of value add from attending. The reporter should also do well to check the numbers for COP26 which the UK hosted in 2021, the delegation from Nigeria led by former President Buhari was also over a thousand despite COVID. There is something else that they did not mention: they should check out the money Nigeria spent to purchase a pavilion - Nigeria always gets a pavilion (more like a national office) at the COPs and it ain’t cheap. |

gasparpisciotta: Your first sentence is right, Infact, very right. Your second sentence is wrong, I am a Nigerian and do not believe Peter Obi is better in any way than any of the other politician. They are one and the same. This is the general view of Nigerians. Make your point and stop campaigning for useless polithiefiance. |
