Happy New year everyone. Thanks for making our stay in UK happier and worthwhile. Hope we are able to have something on the table to celebrate with, if not, reach out to people around you. Don’t hide anything, ASK.

We shall all achieve our aim for relocating.

Good morning and happy New Year everyone in the house, I believe we are all doing well and enjoying our new year.

Please allow me to be the first Nairalander to ask question in 2024 here.

I got this email from UKVI, three people applied on the same day from my office, less than three day one of us got his decision while the remaining two got the email below.

Please can someone explain what "Technical issue" could mean in this context? I can't sleep

Dear

Ref:

Thank you for your application for permission to stay in the UK.

Although we would normally decide your application within 15 working days from the date it was submitted, unfortunately this is not going to be possible in your case.

The reason for this is that we are currently experiencing a technical issue relating to your case. We do consider the resolution of this technical issue as a matter of the highest priority and although we are unable to offer a specific resolution timescale, we aim to make a decision on your application as soon as possible.

I am sorry for the delay in dealing with your application and for the inconvenience this is causing.

Please be assured that we are doing all we can to make a decision on your case as quickly as possible. Please note, it may not be possible to make a decision within service standard in this instance.

Kind Regards,

UK Decision Making Centre

Hello, if you’re looking for a temporary room to rent in bristol, I’ve got a double room which is for a month. Please let me know if you’re interested. Thanks

Hello elders, please I need your opinion on this. I got 2 offers with sponsorship. The first is with council in a day centre while the second is a Band 5 with the NHS but in Bristol. Considering how expensive Bristol is will it be wise for me to move there with the band 5 salary with my family? There is prospect for me to secure a higher grade in the NHS in future but I am just scared of because of how expensive Bristol is.

House rent is about £1,500 average while i stay in a town where i pay less than £1,000 for rent. We are a family of 4 and my spouse hasn't gotten a job yet.

You have nothing to worry about. I got the same email and spoke to an immigration lawyer who advised that it's a generic email UKVI send when they are running late processing applications.

What Visa type are you on? If on Tier 4 ...you must submit your BRP card with your application form but ensure you enclose a self-address stamped envelope that you track its return. If on Tier 2 or you have a British passport, then you can avoid this.

Hello house, I got into Uk in Nov, and this January I want to apply for my husband as my dependent, do I need to provide proof of funds for him? The company that gave me COS already ticked that they will maintain us… but since I didn’t come in with him , I was wondering if that will still stand or I’ll need to provide proof of funds
