zubizareta: I am working as an accountant with an NGO. My brother owns a tech consulting company. He is okay but his income is not so heavy to comfortably sponsor me without building his account. |

Victoryokondu: Ohk. Hope you are Been paid at your place of work and have your payslips and salary acct ready. Now the challenge should be how your sis moves the funds to your brother's acct to reflect its his money earned from proceeds of his business before he disburses the initial tuition deposit to the school and your living expenses to you because as your sponsor, he must demonstrate these payments came from him. Your brother can run his naira acct in a way that the money can be brought in in batches to look like monies earned from his business. He should bring in the total Funds he needs for the POF first. Then the pof guy can take out the naira equivalent of the tuition and your living expenses in just 2 batches to any 3rd party acct. And in your sop, explain that the funds were withdrawn to purchase usd and used for subsequent payment of your tuition deposit and deposit of your living expenses into your acct. As long as these funds withdrawn are spent and they can see the trail of funds and receipts then your good to go. So having a well packaged SOP is also key along having the funds since the funds are not just available in the acct of the sponsor. I think your brother will be a better choice of sponsor depending on the year of registration of his business and normal inflow and outflow of funds in his acct. Goodluck 1 Like 1 Share |

oloyemeji: No. As long as you are switching inside Canada, simply change dli on the ircc website. But ensure you must have enrolled and actively studying at your first school that gave you the visa. And you cannot be out of school for more than 5 months. So ensure that when you change dli, your new school must resume within next 4 months. 1 Like |

No, it does not require you to apply for a new study permit. However, 1. Ensure that your new institution is a designated learning institution eligible to host international students. 2. You must inform IRCC of the change by updating your information through your IRCC online account. 3. If you change your DLI, you should not interrupt your studies, and your study permit should remain valid throughout your stay. 4. Ensure that your new study program aligns with the scope and kind of study permitted by your permission and that you continue to fulfill all requirements of your study permit, such as remaining enrolled full-time. quote author=oloyemeji post=127750561]If I want to switch my Designated Learning Institution (DLI) after arriving in Canada, do I have to apply for a new study permit?[/quote] |
