It wasn’t like this
We didn’t have a bad coach
you are saying this in hindsight, especially before the quarterfinal match the negativity was very very high, many people didn’t believe we could win that game

It is 2024 and some of y'all still wallow in delusion. What ever makes you think one of the most important players of the English youth set up would abandon that path that leads to the 3lions for a place in the super eagles set up.

We have been here multiple times and we know the results.

waiting for them to find stability in their club often times rob us of the chance to hv them. In such cases many of them prefer sticking to their country of birth who would come calling aggressively

I am of the opinion that they should even be lured when they re yet to hit stardom. Earning few minutes to the end of official games won’t hurt but will tie them down to us for life

If we did the same with Eze even when he was with Wimbledon in league 1 or during his first season in the championship with Reading he would hv been ours till date

Talking about Eze, I will put the blame on Rohr.. remember that Eze was invited to the super eagles training camp in March 2017.
After the 2018 world cup, it was clear that the team needed a midfield rebuild.. Rohr refused to call up Eze.. He kept calling up Mikel, Iwobi, Ndidi, Etebo and Ogu..

I agree with your point sha... We can try and cap tie some promising ones early if we wre serious about it and they want to play for us..

X ray of the MF shows that Iwobi is the only creative spark. Its either iwobi with onyeka or Iwobi & Onyedika. Then if iwobi is removed from the equation nko. Maybe he will throw Boniface into the position. But it won't be a bad idea playing 4:2:3:1. That way Onyedika/Onyeka& Alhassan @ the base with Iwobi @ the tip just like Keshi did. I think this will give us more solidity all round. My thinking tho. This 442 is a recipe for disaster.
If KC isn't fully fit,it will be better to have Kelechi Nwakali drafted in to take his place.
Now both JPes and NFF don't want to accept responsibility for naming a 25 man list.
Other teams are going to the tourney with 6-8 midfielders.
If they had named a 27 man squad in the first place, with the absence of the due of Ndidi and KC,other players would have gotten a chance.

Jpes will play with his 4-4-2,a very stubborn coach and I forsee a midfield combo of Onyeka and Iwobi.

If he is smart,he should testrun a midfield combo when we play both friendly before the tournament begins.

Jpes will use as Stanley Nwabili as his first choice ,that I am certain of.

I will prefer a midfield of

* Onyedika at the base to shield the back 4

*Alhassan Yusuf as the box to box midfielder. He has the speed, energy and stamina to perform in the role.

*Iwobi as the attacking midfielder.

Boniface use to play as a 10, not sure if he still can.

Jpes will stick to his 4-4-2
A formation recipe for disaster.

Our group was tough
We had Burkina Faso & Ethiopians we’re going to lay down easily
We didn’t play well until the knockout stages
We didn’t have a bad coach
I remember the games very well
We ended up second and people were afraid of Côte d’Ivoire
I just new we were going to win that game because we had decent players.
Our group games were just really tough
It probably took some time for them to gel
And Sunday mba was like the joker in our team
Emenike was a frightening striker to play against if you ask me
People were just worried no Osazie odemwinge in the call up then
He was our best player in form that period

Because Bellingham is a future ballon d’or winner
He would be dropped
Ask Tomori & Abraham if they gets playing time and doesn’t regret their decision

Rohr should be blamed to a certain extend but if eze wanted to truly rep us he would hv done that even when he was in the championship

in the England u20 team he dished us for he wasn’t even a regular/starter

Also his body language in games makes me believe he won’t be fully committed to the course if he switched to us. Watching him play for Palace sometimes he seems unserious and nonchalant

Olise is a better talent than eze and aside salah he is the best RW in the epl currently

Even Chelsea’s chukwuemeka is better than eze

That is where you guys get it wrong. To them, it is not about the playing time, it is rather about the badge and the honour that comes with the tag "a 3lion player or an ex of it". They don't care if what they get is just a minute in a friendly match.

They are so passionate about the badge, so you guys should rest because Tammy and Tomori are already satisfied with the little opportunities they have gotten. They would rather those few minutes with england in the euro league than world cup appearances with an African team.

North Africans find it a bit easier to get their boys from Europe because of their Arabic/Islamic belief.

Baba I don’t regret not having the duo of Tomori and Abraham but just saying that the former deserves a place in the English squad. He is too good for not getting a look in by southgate and would hv been a household name in international football if he played for us our Canada 🇨🇦

He still had a way to slot in Nwakali like we won't notice
Nwakali created more scoring chances when compared to Ndidi and Aribo in the last AFCON tourney despite starting only one game. You want to make me believe he doesn't deserve a mention or a slot in. I believe we all mean well for the Super Eagles.

Anakogheri, shebi una don see the need of playing in decent club, league and uefa club competitions? That’s the very reason Alhassan got a look in and now as a replacement for injured ndidi

Mk una still Dey here dey argue about accurate long passes and creativity while unknown midfielders are emerging and progressing in their career 🤣

We go still Dey argue on how good nwakali Dey small Akinsanmiro and Eletu go graduate to Inter and Milan’s first team and become starters, even daga go don leave Enyimba and become an established player in a good European league 🤣🤣

the very reason I don’t rate him anymore

Coaches of this generation prioritizes work rate over creativity which Eze lacks. I don’t see him playing for a bigger club than Palace level

First of all none of our midfielders will get on that bench as it stands., to sit next to Tim Iroegbunam.

When Arsenal captain Odegaard was warming bench permanently at Real Madrid, Arsenal paid £30 million for him, he signed on the 27th January 2021, and then three days later he came on against Manchester United. The rest they say is history.

There are benches and there are benches that are almost a badge of honour.

How many first team EPL games had Iwobi played before getting into the SE , I will tell you ZERO

Did you just say Odegaard was warming bench permanently? Like did you even fact check before you post here?
