You know drug trafficking is a big industry as well? Should the government legalize it and start taxing it?

If it's so; Forex & Binary options etc. should be banned as well, cox there's no significant difference between them all.

Any argument you can make to defend gambling can equally be used to defend drug trafficking, after all your not forcing people to participate in any of them.

Gambling its a matter of choice. It has made people ,it has also ruined people. The nigerian government I know will never ban such, since its destroying many.. Not even when they made huge tax returns from it..

I am all for banning sports betting, but even then, problem dey.

1. It would just simply move to the criminal world, where instead of one just losing money, it would be one losing money plus losing life. Then no more tax revenue for government.

2.It would also move offshore. Bet9ja would just move HQ to another country, and move its operaton online. VPN would take care of the rest.

I get where Reno Omokri is coming from, but I think banning sports betting apps might not be the best solution. Sure, gambling addiction is a real issue, but banning apps could just drive it underground or push people to find other ways to bet. Plus, it's kinda like punishing everyone for the actions of a few. I think a better approach would be to focus on education and support for those struggling with gambling addiction. We need to help people make informed decisions and provide resources for those who need help. Banning apps might be a quick fix, but it doesn't address the root of the problem.
At the end of the day, I believe in personal responsibility. People should have the freedom to make their own choices, but they also need to be aware of the consequences. So yeah, let's tackle the issue of gambling addiction head-on, but let's do it in a way that's fair and effective for everyone on platforms reviewed by experts.
