For DStv to secure the rights to show afcon matches DStv will have to pay more higher amount of money to the organizers / CAF and with that DStv will have to increase their subscription fees and charge more from their DStv customers.and with that that 30,0000 naira you are paying you will have to pay 35,000 naira in order to watch the afcon matches on DStv

Imagine, and our law makers will allow such to happen after charging us that huge such amount of money.....

That means my 19,800 wey I subscribe na for zee world and Africa magic...

I no longer subscribe for any cable Tv. Their are lots of FREE sports and entertainment live Tv apps to stream on mobile device which can be connected to your smart tv.
You only need 1GB data which cost 200 naira and stream for an hour.

N.B: Some DSTV would channels would show it but SuperSport wouldn't. CANAL, for example is on DSTV (French Bouquet) and would air the AFCON.
