Honestly I believe we deserve the leaders we get this is an eye opener to me cause I know of the tactics the northern political powers play in order to solidify their positions,

]I just never imagined Christians also played similar games too, the structure could have been repurposed into something worthwhile so thousands of youths can be gainfully employed, but no, they prefer spending billions on theaters to woo the masses into dropping their hard earned money.

No wonder these religious leaders can't come out to speak against the ills of the government because they are in bed with them. What a wonderful arrangement between the two, I discovered something, it's like an unwritten arrangement between African leaders and foreign powers, they embezzle and get money from the foreigners while our African leaders do their best to make sure our currency never gets value, if you do a critical research, it's kind of like a balanced power play, they'll spend anyhow but it's against their rule to make moves that'll lift the nation up. Our population is on the rise and all we can think about is who has the best religion. May God save us all.[/b]
I think it would be. The incumbent Governor has shown better signs of management and being in touch with the people than Udom Emmanuel. First, he's insisted large religious gatherings would no longer be held at the stadia, but at the Worship Center at a price. The economics of it is what hasn't been clearly stated.

The most important implementation I'd like to see is the purported Ibom Angel Network which is modeled after the Lagos Angel Investment Network, with counterpart funding by the state government.

I'm no fan of government creating jobs as government workers aren't effective workers - just going through the motions for pay at the end. Creating the enabling environment through policies, and financial and security backing seem more like it. The private sector would pick on it.

You have a valid point, my major concerns with government, what you pointed out, creating the enabling environment to work efficiently, all the whole policy they put up would be nothing to write home if the conditions to set things inmotion aren't in place. An example I've seen is some tech companies in lagos close up cause some politician felt they're making money hence he hit them with levy till they had no option than to fold up, the problem with the system we work with is the innate corruption and lack of consistency in following up with good things. 2 days ago, I was opportuned to be in the know of a politician who held meetings with a Chinese firm in order to set up a factory in Nigeria, after the whole greeting of hands, the politician isn't even bothered with them again and keeps turning them. A deal should he have kept his own end of the agreement would ensure thousands of Nigerians gainfully employed.

You made many valid points. But why do you like making your posts in bold?

You know people do that when they want to shout or yell at people online.

It's not a good netiqutte. It makes your post less presentable, just like lengthy posts made online without appropriate use of paragraphs to aid readability.

It doesn't give a good image about your person. However, if it's your preferred style, it's fine.

Nigeria signs DICON Bill, boosts Defence Industry
The Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria Bill, 2023, is a landmark legislation that will transform the defence sector and position Nigeria as a regional and global player in the defence industry.
by Ekene Lionel 1 month ago

President Bola Tinubu has signed the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) Bill, 2023, into law, giving a new impetus to the country’s defence industry. The bill, which was sponsored by the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Defence, Babajimi Benson, repeals the previous DICON Act and introduces several reforms and innovations to the corporation.

The bill empowers DICON to operate and maintain subsidiaries and ordnance factories, establish a research and development institute, provide a regulatory framework for the defence sector, and attract private capital to facilitate production and innovation. The bill also aims to make DICON more accountable, transparent, and efficient in its operations and management.

The signing of the bill comes at a time when Nigeria is facing various security challenges, such as insurgency, banditry, kidnapping, and piracy. The bill is expected to enhance the capacity and capability of the Nigerian military and other security agencies to combat these threats and protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country."

Basically it enables one to make products and eventually become something like a contractor with the government in terms of defence, but what they aren't saying is it empowers the individual(politicians) to have their own private militia

But benefits the politicians not the masses, let's say a politician sets up a proxy company suing the newly signed deal, imports weapons or manufactures weapons, armors e.t.c Do you think he will sell everything to the government, I think not, a former retired military General through a proxy setup a company the next day this bill was signed under the dicon act under the defence ministry, imagine the scenario of the likes of Colt Defense, Advanced Armament, CorporationBarrett Firearms Manufacturing but only answerable to the elite and not the masses

You go wait forever if you think I'd say such here. The Google you're using was developed using Binary Mathematics of Odu Ifa. "Odu" itself is the Yoruba word for "code". People just don't call Google Ifa for nothing.

The mathematics underlying computer programming as a whole is binary mathematics, which has been in Odu Ifa for ages.

How would Ifa people know that when they think Ifa is juju?
This guy hasn't changed in 2024. grin

The cost of data nko? People seem to overlook it. Every weekend, I watch Chelsea, Manutd and Arsenal matches. Maybe City and Liverpool depending on who they are playing. I also watch Carling, FA, Champions league or any one that comes in between.

No way I won't spend almost the same amount of money DSTV is asking for to stream.
in streaming, you regulate what you use..in dstv..you dont regulate..

i sub 60k for 500gb..it lasts me approximately 3 months..i stream what i have to stream, when its time for sleep..i put off my stream and go to bed..
