[quote author=advanceDNA post=127548768]You could get lucky to convert your visa

Transport For London is recruiting a good number of customer service persons..

Salary is a little over 30,000 £ ..... sponsorship is available....(not likely for those outside UK because there are several recruitment stages)

https://tfl.taleo.net/careersection/external/jobdetail.ftl?job=044474&tz=GMT%2B00%3A00&tzname=Europe%2FLondon

Online test is required after application... The test no too hard but e easy to fail sharpally...

.....u gats sabi simple maths like 2.6/5, 178 minus 69 or 180/24, or 3 raise to power 4, from head, but be fast about it....calculator cannot help you.
..if u try use calculator, Ã’tilor..cos u gats solve fast and arrange what u see in ascending order and in 10seconds...

You also gats know customer service work situational question...

Then finally ..ability to reason outside the box puzzle ...if u sabi play simple game...u go ace am sharpally...

Closing date: 24th dec

Good luck.

Hello house, my sister is about to try out her hands on the health care japa thing and someone in the UK already assured of cos , and advising that the process start ASAP so as to beat the dependant issue thing
I am asking for an honest advise if it's worth going ahead because I also understand the home office is getting stricter with rules and regulations this days..But what i also understand with the UK is that they don't use a non existent law to disturb anyone until the date it's announced.
Again i ask for a honest advice going forward

Be sure of shifts before she leaves Naija, no one spares £1 here o. To get another job as a Carer after being sponsored is very difficult.

Yes the shift thing is very important as stated, the partner will be going with her , the crust and main question is that one million question about how stringent or otherwise this days make person no waste scarce resources

This forum have been quite for some days.. so I applied for my visa on the 20th December (no priority), I received a mail this morning from TLS that a decision have been made. 2hrs later, another mail that my travel document is ready for collection (I optioned for a DHL delivery anyways). My confusion now is that, no mail saying if my visa was granted or not. No BRP mail either. If tension no kill me, na small go remain

IMPORTANT OFFICIAL UPDATE FROM UK IMMIGRATION BODY 🚨

From Spring next year (March 20, 2024 - May 31, 2024), UK WILL NO LONGER ISSUE DEPENDANT VISA FOR HEALTH CARE WORKERS ( Nurses, Doctors etc).

So, Healthcare Workers would No Longer be able to bring their Spouses and Children on Dependant Visa

In Short

If you plan RELOCATING TO UK AS A HEALTHCARE WORKER (Nurse, Doctor etc) and you intend taking your Family along OR bringing your family to join you

ENSURE YOU DO THAT BEFORE MARCH 2024
Good morning everyone plz how true is this

Not to worry. The email you are expecting won't change anything. I got my BRP email the day after the "travel document is ready" email. So I knew it was successful before I received my passport.

A decision has been made already. Just hope for the best. Good luck!

I am not sure, but I believe nurses and doctors are exempted. Only care workers will be affected. I will confirm

Visa application was refused (although no mails from UKVI yet for refusal reasons) passport was returned blank today

Contacted employer and she mentioned their license was revoked on the 26th of December being the reason why our application submitted on the 13th December was refused.

Will it be a red flag if re-applied with a new employer (CoS) this same month.

@advancedDNA & other gurus please advise.....

Well....it's not a crime to be chasing multiple employers or jobs at same time ...so it's not a red flag per se if u have two COS within a short period....just make sure ur application is air tight...... they will definitely try to shake u and ur employer to see if ur job is genuine..

Some ECOs have started asking employers for proof of interview, job post or how employee applied for job......

In other news .. we need to be careful....these "funny" employers are losing their license on a steady because they did not pass the basic requirements of the care quality commission ..... Someone came in and the following month employer lost license..... Ótilor .......if u know what I mean

....its almost as if home office allowed all this people because they know they will come and start bouncing both employers and workers later after they have raked in enough visa fees....

Thanks a lot. Again I have existing 2 years visa on my passport issued last year, just wondering if it's still valid after this refusal on a dependant visa application.

Existing 2 years visit visa?? That has nothing to do with your dependent work visa refusal....

Nurses and Doctors are exempted, this only applies to carers and senior carers.

Thank you

Your overall band score is good but you also need to be sure you scored at least 4.0 in each of the 4 sections/modules.

Google for IELTS Liz, practise with all her videos and also learn more on her website. You only need a minimum band score of 4.0 for this HCW Visa. Good luck.

Hello good people,

Please help me with how to go about a nursing course in Nigeria. My wife is interested in the profession but do not know how to go about it. I googled and saw it that it requires a minimum of 3 years to complete. Note that we want to use it to travel to a good country outside Nigeria after the completion.

Guys please help us with a step to step guide on how to go about it bikonu.

@ LadyAmyy

Well, chances are higher with care jobs.

with other skilled jobs: well, depends on how desparate the employer for your skills is ?

The IHS fees are particularly high, and some employers may hold back on international recruitment until they are sure of home office next moves.

LadyAmyy:
Hello everyone, Skilled workers in the UK, please I have a plan, but I would like to know if it's a good one.

Can one go through the visitor's route to secure a job and then come back to Nigeria to apply for a work visa, since switching from a visit visa to a work visa in the UK is impossible?

I intend to visit the UK next year and while there, I will be applying for jobs hoping to get sponsorship, that way I can come back to Nigeria and the company can issue me a COS.

Thank you.

My lowest was 5.5 on reading which was kind of odd lol, all the rest were over 6.0 and above

Defined means applying from outside the UK. In this scenario, yes, my Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) is defined. The HR department at my research institution mentioned a delay in issuing CoS during this time of the year. I speculate that many companies have used up their annual allocation, and the UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) is likely delaying until January to start mass issuances.
.

Hello @electromagnito

I wanted to ask if you have received your cos as i have been waiting for mine since Nov.23 . Honestly it's really mentally tiring having to wait this long. Today make it 6weeks already. Has anyone received CoS recently pls?

Sorry about that. I'm aware of someone whose employer applied for a Defined CoS in the second week of Dec & they received it yesterday - roughly 3 weeks of processing. This whole CoS thing is dependent on your employer amongst other factors.
