Akwa ibom state is a very beautiful state but the unemployment rate in that state is mind blowing. It is the highest in Nigeria and with the pulling out of Syringe company, the Akwa-Ibomites are in for the worst.

Why can't some small operators in Akwa Ibom go online and learn how to manufacture syringes?

How hard can it be to manufacture syringes?

I'm sure if you go to China, there are people making them in their backyard at home.

Our government does not know how to protect home industries.

They just don’t care.

But let’s face it: the company too has gone too far away from where there’s potential market for its products.

It should have established closer to Lagos and SW where there’s huge market for it and where purchasing power is a bit fairly better than other regions.

The owners must have chosen low productions cost over higher revenue.
