As Police Plans Strategic Revamp, Restructuring

The Nigeria Police Force has ordered the immediate suspension of the activities of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), a community policing initiative and public relations tool within the Force Public Relations Department of the Nigeria Police Force. This decision comes as part of a strategic effort to conduct a comprehensive review of the unit and reposition it for heightened efficiency and enhanced service delivery.

Acknowledging the crucial role of POCACOV in advancing community engagement and tackling social vices, the Force recognizes the necessity of halting all pending programs and outreaches, initiated by the present national coordinator, CSP Ebere Amarizu, to facilitate a thorough assessment and restructuring of the initiative to spread across the six geopolitical zones, each with its respective coordinator. This temporary suspension aims to realign POCACOV's strategies, ensuring they effectively address contemporary security challenges and holistically serve Nigerian communities better than its present localised and ineffective campaigns.

During this period of suspension, the Nigeria Police Force reaffirms its unyielding commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the nation. The revitalization of POCACOV seeks to reinforce its role as an integral community policing instrument, strengthening the bond between the Force and our communities.

Updates regarding the resumption of POCACOV programmes and outreach activities will be communicated to the public in due course as the Force continues to prioritize safety, security, and community partnership.

The funniest thing about this unit is that some of their members are cultist in the police force who take part with their colleagues in the time of war to decimate their opposition.

Any initiative from Nigeria police is to intimidate the masses. SARS a case study. 90% of police officers in Nigeria are confirmed criminals

The department is a replica of SARS, it's called Anti-Vice in States Command Headquarters. It is the department involved in arresting Yahoo guys and searching phones. A criminal department. They helped me recover business capital swindled by Yahoo boys. But na chop I chop formula, if you play ball, they score for you.

Sorry to divert the topic. I want to ask about something pls. Is it true that police don't help someone collect debt. Because I took some that owed me close to half a million to police station, d case has been dragging for like 6 month now. So yesterday, when I got to station to vent my displeasure about how d case is handling, they boldly told me that I should be patience because is not police job to help someone collect debt, but they are just helping me. Pls police is the house, how true is this? And if is true, won't there be chaos in d land because many people will be taking law to their hands.

Can you imagine? Federal police dey do community policing as a plan to block state and local council policing. If it is not coconut water, it can never be coconut water. Nonsense.
