Removing government influence, this man would have been an average businessman.

Congratulations to him, though.

why will you remove government influence. Is that not part of business strategy and acumen?

The monopolist

If everyone is given equal opportunities to go in and out of the market, Dangote would be no where to be found on the African billionaires list.

Influence of which government?
PDP OR APC?
If he has been able to corner the patronage of the two rivals then HE IS A GENIUS!

Congratulations to Dangote.

Dangote’s net worth improved by $10 million to $10.1 billion as of January 8, 2024.

It's better to join the players in the market in order to enjoy the fruits of the land than to remain as mere spectator and keep complaining no money in Nigeria.

Some will even sit morning till night on Nairaland and be fighting each other.

While some selected few are working on how to keep making fortune.

I Sell Real Estate, either you are in Nigeria or abroad; here you meet reliable Real Estate Consultant.

God Bless Nigeria.

God bless you.

I know boys that made crazzzzzzzy money from listed companies on the NGX last year. Same is going to happen this year. Legit money oh. Just buy and selling stocks of companies like Transcorp, UBA, Zenith,Gtco Access DangCem,DangSugar etc

God bless Nigeria

...and what exactly did Dangote do to have earned his way back to the top, especially when his refinery is yet to start producing?

He has investments in other financial assets that have increased in value.

Do you honestly think he has that amount quoted in his bank acct somewhere?

This is just a rough estimate of what the assessor believes he has using certain criteria, chief of which is the value of his publicly quoted stocks.
Between the last time it was checked and now, the stock value has improved.
Because these figures are found in the public domain, it's very easy to look it up and make bold statements.

Dangote makes his money with unfair monopoly.

Monopoly in what sector? Yall jeep shouting Monopoly without knowing the real definition of it

Nepa, Nipost and Nitel of the past are Monopolies because they were the only one operating in their respective sectors

Dangote on the other hand competitors in virtually all his business segments.

Even BUA alone is competition

Removing government's influence, only few people would be billionaires in the world today, not just Nigeria.
When Jack Ma of China criticized the Chinese government's handling of the corona virus pandemic, they treated his Bleep up and he's not the richest man in China/Asia anymore.

Cut Dangote some slack. He had government support, yes. But why him? Is he the only business man in the north?

Also there is no 'billionaire' or 'millionaire' (in dollars) anywhere in Nigeria, that had no government support in one way or another.

Mitwww! Africa is poor jare. Upon all the thieves in Nigeria that hide their money under the brand ‘Dangote’, all they can pull together is $10b while their mate with legitimate business in Europe and America has over $200b. Nothing to celebrate here when criminals are starving the masses and making their lives miserable.

Did he just wake up to start having this government influence or didn't he work for it? Instead of us poor pple having this mindset this year it's better we stand up and learn from Dangote and others that have become more influential than most state governments.
